Deep Lake
The trail is very beautiful in the late April and in May when you can see Golden Asters and blossoms every where. The hike is not very difficult and kids can do it but I think in some parts can be a little challenging for some people. It took 35 minutes about 1.2 k to reach the lake and the same to get back. The Deep lake is a small lake but has a soothing and relaxing environment. I saw squirrels, ducks, muskrats and geese up there. I suggest to have hat, boots and water bottle with yourself.

This is probably the best hidden fishing gem in Kamloops. If I could put the videos of how quickly you catch them. I would. Ice is usually good by the end of December. Bring your safety gear though as you will probably be the only one up there.

I would recommend bringing your hiking poles if you have bad knees like I do. Hiking up is good and moderate but hiking down is hard on your knees. Overall it is a nice hike.You might see some wildlife there so have your dog on leash.
