Savoury pies are my top pick at the Pie Junkie. I've really liked the Key Lime and Pecan. Solid 4 stars. Mincemeat holiday tarts too. Yum. The other dessert pies haven't electrified my tastebuds. The savoury pies are where 5 stars roll in. I’ve actually liked all of them (Butter Chicken, Jamaican Beef, Steak Stout & Gruyère…).The pie that incited me to write a review was one we ordered either November or December. The Turkey Dinner pie. Sighs happily in memory. It had the most gorgeous light Turkey gravy. The pie had Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and everything you’d desire all wrapped up in a pie. We called ahead, it was delivered frozen and worked beautifully when the time for cooking came.

A great franchise to go to for your pie needs, especially savory pies! Pie Junkie is regularly consistent with the quality of their pies.Their steak & mushroom pie and their turkey dinner pie are excellent - they have plenty of filling and a good mix of ingredients in the filling and are an accurate representation of what it is named. For example, a slice of the turkey pie would get you a nice balance of turkey (dark meat), veggies, stuffing, and cranberry. The crust is crispy and soft and for the most part, light. The only critique for the savory pies is that it is sometimes on the salty side.Their sweet pies (such as their pumpkin pie) are a bit on the sweet side. If you find their pies too sweet, the salted honey provides a bit of a better balance.

When my daughter was attending U of C several years ago, Pie Junkie in Kensington was a favourite stop. The staff were friendly and the pies DELICIOUS! They truly are handmade and taste like it! Butter crust is amazing IMO. The menu changes depending on the season or holiday. This trip the Easter menu featured a Chocolate Silk Nest pie that was a new choice for us … yum! Also new to us were the sausage rolls. Not usually a fan of sausage rolls, but there was just enough of a peppery spice for me to want them again! You will not be disappointed with any of the sweet pies. As a pie maker myself, I can attest to the fillings, perfection really! Hand pies are perfect if you are a crust aficionado. In the past my favourite was the raspberry, but this trip I settled for an apple. Hoping the Cheese and Onion hand pie returns to the menu before we leave! We have a box of the pot pies in the freezer to enjoy this week. Get to one of their 4 locations! You will not be disappointed!JillOakville, Ontario

My partner and I bought 4 savoury pies, 1 sweet pie, and 1 hand pie (6 items total). We thought 3 of the savoury pies were good but not great. The Jamaican patty was the exception - very good according to my partner! The sweet pie (banana toffee!) and hand pie (blueberry raspberry) were also excellent. So 50% of our experience was meh and the other 50% was good. The young lady at the counter was very helpful and enthusiastic. Unfortunately, this business feeds into the insane tipping culture where the machine encourages you to pay a minimum of 15% for someone to hand you a box. Ridiculous! This is on top of being a somewhat pricy product to begin with. We spent $60 all together so about $10 per small product. Large pies are much more. Doubt we’ll be back but was worth trying once.

I walked in with a friend visiting from over seas looking for plain butter tarts which they didn't have. They made 3 fresh for us so she could try them before she left. It was such a nice gesture and hugely appreciated. They were so friendly and went above and beyond to help us. The butter tarts were excellent. Definitely recommend!!

It was easy to place and pay for an order by phone and then do curb side pick up. They had quite the line up for Pi day.Really enjoyed the steak and mushroom pie. It had real chunks of steak and a delicious filling. The key lime pie was also delicious, and good balance between sweet and tart. The white chocolate strawberry had a great flavour of fresh cream and chocolate without being very sweet

Excellent and friendly service. Delicious pies across a range of sweet and savory options. Tried the Italian pie and the chocolate silk pie so far, but wanting to come back to try their “famous” butter chicken pie. While definitely not priced like the pies you find in grocery stores, the quality of ingredients and taste is definitely superior.Edit: have now tried the lemon cheesecake, the coconut cream, the apple pie, and their famous butter chicken pie. All were delicious!
