Really wanted to like this place. Ordered 2 combo plates a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. Overall food quality was good. Ordered this evening and they got the order wrong. Ordered sweet and sour ribs but got breaded sweet and sour pork (do not like breaded anything). When I phoned to raise awareness of the issue I was told it was not their fault because their sheet said sweet and sour pork C3. I noted I did not order by number and specifically said sweet and sour ribs. What I as a customer expected to hear when an order was incorrect is how can we make this right". Instead

Chef Song's Chinese Restaurant
We have ordered from here before. Way better food and experience. Food was ordered online, and it said it would 1 hour 15 minutes. Ended being that and we waited in the lobby for another 45 minutes. Food was just ok. We will try a different resto in our neighborhood next time. Very disappointing, considering we had people at home waiting for dinner.

Over all the experience was mediocre at best. I was expecting more based on everyone's past reviews. Upon arriving at the restaurant they couldn't find our order and another customer was waiting over 2 hrs for his. They made his order wrong and expected him to just deal with it. Once I actually got my order the food wasn't very warm and upon getting home, found we were missing the sauce for the chicken balls. The actual flavour of the food was lacking. We spent almost 100 on food the experience and food quality just didn't hold up. There are much better Chinese restaurants in the area

Ordered through skip, and the delivery came within the estimated time.I think next time I will order from the entree menu, not the entree a la carte" menu. I wasn't sure of the difference but now I think I know. Song's chicken

Chef Song's Chinese Restaurant
they only had combination Plates for three or more peoplewhat they call dinner entrees really are not considered dinner entrees..They're basically a plate full of one specific item. And to Make a Complete Meal you have to order 2 or more of the Choices. it is not a good Place for a Person By themself to Dine ...it is Better with 3 or more People that are all Sharing.

Chef song is the best chef I ever meet. Love the food there, last night we was ordered the party tray for our family. General Tso’s Chicken. This was the best chicken I ever try!!!! Next time when you want to eat something, you could show them pictures. Their price was affordable and reasonable.

Chef Song has THE best food in the city! We have ordered so many different dishes and they have ALL been exceptional, very authentic and the staff go above and beyond! I ordered on Good Friday, 3 days ago, I realize it was going to be busy and I was fine with that...I got my food 2 hours later, like I said, I understand it was busy, I'm not complaining. First time ordering from here, I liked it, it was good, I did order the Szechuan Beef and got ginger beef instead, maybe they were out, once again I'm not complaining. I got free wontons with my order cause I guess I was over a certain amount, but there was no meat in them (pork) and I found the sweet and sour sauce to be tasteless and I got another container of like broth? I don't know what that was for but it tasted like nothing. I would order again from here and try some other things.

So, we had a craving for Chinese food and have had great experiences in the past with Chef Song so we put in an order for pickup. The food was just being packed at the time promised so it was still steaming when I got home.The food was FANTASTIC!!! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and they were very conscious of our request regarding the peanut and tree nut allergy in our family. No issues with the allergy.I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some great Chinese takeout!!
