Nervously, I stopped into Kelowna Transmission yesterday to speak to them about a transmission problem I was having with my low km Hellcat since the Dodge dealership recommended replacing the transmission with a brand new one.Brian was so pleasant as he listened to me speak about the problems I was having, he showed great interest in the photos of the transmission oil and even called back for Randy to come have a look. I felt like they genuinely cared about the issue with my car. They then walked me through the diagnostics process that they would carefully follow and made me feel that my car will be in excellent hands. I felt confident enough to schedule an appointment with them which will be coming up shortly. They made a great first impression.

Very nice and knowledgeable employees.I went there for an automatic transmission flush, coolant flush, brake fluid flush as well as a u joint replacement on a Jeep TJ.The mechanic took the time to test drive the car with me to understand what was wrong with the car.I’ll go back for sure when needed.Thank you!

The owner is very honest about any type of work that needs to be done and has extensive knowledge about vehicles. Worked on my truck. Did a great job. Not easy to work on.

Kelowna TransmissionBest customer service I have seen in decades. Ivar is a true Technician. We just don’t see Auto Technicians like this anymore. Determined to understand what is actually wrong and fix it right.We had Kelowna Transmission rebuilt our transmission. It had a leak at the front of the transmission and had over 230k on it, so we decided to just have them rebuild it since it had to come out anyway. Unfortunately, the trans failed while we were on holiday three hours from home, so we sent the truck back on a tow truck since it was under warranty.Ivar fixed it, but then it just wasn’t shifting right after it had been driven for a while. Ivar did not want to return the truck to us since he knew it wasn’t fixed properly. It took several weeks to isolate the problem and many many hours of diagnosis for him to find the actual problem. It turned out to be the transmission control computer. A 1500.00 parts plus programming. We agreed to split the cost of the controller which we felt was a fair compromise. Since the truck never had any shifting issues before the rebuilding. Why it failed who knows, with computers you just never know what they are going to do.This repair cost thousands of dollars and lots of time for both the transmission shop and us. Ivar did not give up, the sign of a true technician and then Once they figured out the problem and test-drove it for many miles to ensure it was corrected Kelowna transmission delivered the truck to us, an hour, and a half drive away from the shop. Ivar, Randy and the team at Kelowna Transmission exceeded my expectations when I brought my truck in for work a while back. They fixed issues with my transmission and kept to their estimated price for the work. They advised on things to consider down the road but never pushed to over sell me on work that wasn’t needed. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who stand behind their work. Had the transmission in a f150 rebuilt here, still pulling hard and shifting smoothly years later. Worth the drive from the westside, best service in town.

This is hands down the best transmission service in the Okanagan. Randy, Teegan and the rest of the crew did an amazing job. Great communication, expert knowledge, and a timely turnaround. They even went above and beyond to find me a more affordable option, and tested it again several weeks later to make sure everything was running properly. I can’t recommend these guys enough!
