We ordered 2 different bowls and one starter for lunch between 2 of us.We were pleasantly surprised by the overall quantity. The meals were fresh and healthy. Being vegetarians, we had many options to choose from which is rare.We loved the food and definitely be ordering from Chau more often.

Overall I wasn't too impressed. I normally like the one on Victoria but this was one of the fewer vegan/ vegetarian places on Granville Island. I mean it wasn't bad, but I just wasn't too impressed with my noodle soup. It did have a lot of vegetables which is great! But it also seems like something I can make at home by myself very easily. The noodles were clumpy as well.

Got a midnight bowl for lunch today. Absolutely disgusting and stale food. And so pricey at 16$ before tax. The bowl consisted of a pile of massive raw chunks of broccoli, hard little pellets of rice drenched in a sickeningly sweet peanut sauce, and rubbery bean curd sheets that smelled stale and smelled like they were just taken out of the fridge (you know that smell food takes on when it’s been sitting in a freezer or fridge for ages). Absolutely waste of money and genuinely disgusting tasting food. Don’t be fooled by reviews, stay away from this place. Service was so poor too. The young Korean looking lady serving made zero attempt to be pleasant or nice. Zero manners or any real social skills by Chau’s staff.

This was so good! I had the #8 Rice Fields Bowl and a Coconut Shake. Pictures and menu description do not do justice to how flavourful the bowl was. Besides the delicious sauce and noodles, I really liked what a wide variety of fresh vegetables the bowl contained. I'm not sure if the included cup of broth was meant to be added to the bowl or drank on its own, but I thought it was nice to sip on as a warm side. It was very fragrant. The coconut shake was also very tasty even though my personal preference would have been for it to be a little less sweet. It's still not as sweet as a lot of commercially available drinks, I just like things with minimal sugar. The shake is made with natural, minimally processed ingredients and it shows in the fresh coconut taste. It was cool that it contained big chunks of coconut meat even though some of them were hard to drink directly from the bottle - I had to use my chopsticks on some of them, but I was able to get everything out.The price is quite good for the value. The portions for the bowls are big (I finished the whole thing without feeling like I was stuffing myself, but was totally satisfied after), and the food is really fresh and high quality. I paid less for the bowl than I've paid for many smaller and less impressive meals at sit-down restaurants. The staff here were very pleasant as well. I notice a lot of vendors in the market will try to get me to order when I'm just browsing, even from a distance, but these people gave me space until I actually walked up to the register and made eye contact which I really appreciated.

Amazingly delicious, flavourful and healthy. I had the golden temple soup and the organic peanut butter chocolate. The lattes are excellent as well. You order at the counter and take a seat. I really like this set-up and it is a very relaxing atmosphere. It is one of my favourite vegan restaurants in Vancouver. I would highly recommend this place

I didn't feel like dealing with a big bowl of soup so I got the tofu roll. It was crunchy, soft, fresh, with lots of textures and flavours! The peanut dipping sauce was so good! A stupid seagull took off with my first one so I went back and got another because I knew I needed it in my life. And I was right. Granville Island needs more seating so I can sit and try more of their menu items.

Golden Temple Soup was recommended to me, and it was delicious. Served in two components: flavourful broth and healthy vegetables and tofu. I chose quinoa as the base, but there are two other options. Also bought the salad roll. Very quick service. Online store sells their sauces, other ingredients and a line of wellness products.

4 stars for the flavour and taste of the food, but would rate the service lower. Ordered the Midnight Swim Bowl ($14.75) and Golden Temple Soup ($16). No complaints about the bowl, good mixture of textures and the spicy peanut garlic soy mushroom sauce had a nice kick. The Golden Temple Soup had a rich flavour that didn't taste diluted. The quality of the veg included was good (kale, broccoli, cauliflower, lotus root), it only included 1 yam and 1 taro piece.Due to a mild allergy and dietary restrictions, I had asked if mushrooms, tofu and bean curd could be substituted for a bit more yam and taro (also included in the item description). They had mentioned they could take the items out but not add more of others, it would be an extra charge if selected. I would understand if it was pre-packaged, but if it was built to order, could it not be possible to substitute even a bit of yam/taro for the left out ingredients? Especially at a higher price point and with the number of tofu included (4+ pieces), to allow a substitution would have been appreciated. I ended up getting the regular order and picked out the ingredients before pouring the soup in. It was nice to try and I do like the GF/V options but wouldn't go out of my way unless I'm in the area.

Fairly pricey for fresh spring rolls, although this is in Granville market so kinda justified compared to prices elsewhere. Although giving one portion of peanut sauce for 2 x fresh spring rolls for two people is pretty stingy in my opinion.Overall pretty tasty and flavorsome for a snack on the go, I didn't try anything else during this visit. It would be great if they could offers some kind of seating if possible (sparse elsewhere).I would recommend the Namahada over the Namastay fresh rolls, the crispy inner filling is super tasty in comparison.
