Portage Glass installed the glass in our new shower. They were hired by the contractor doing the work not directly by us. When they first came out and installed the glass they pointed out that the glass had a bow in it and we could accept it or they would order new. We asked them to order new glass. While waiting for the replacement glass we found the shower leaked. They came back out and re-caulked it. The shower still leaked. After this our builder re-caulked it. The leak was fixed till the replacement glass came in. Additionally when they installed the glass they chipped the wall tile. This wasn't pointed out and is essentially non repairable. They came back and installed the replacement glass. Back to the same problems we had before. Shower leaked. However this time we haven't been able to correct it. I now have another Glass installer scheduled to come out and repair/replace the glass so we can have a functioning shower again. This has been a 6 month train wreck. I would never use them again. So disappointed, other than the poor glass work the bathroom came out great. However this has tainted the entire project for us. .Update - Well after posting this I spoke with Andy the owner of Portage Glass. He genuinely cared about the experience we had and wanted to fix this. We arranged to meet at my house and review the issues. Andy came out and decided they would remove glass, install new track and reseal everything. A week or so later the crew was at my home doing exactly what Andy promised. I’m happy to report my water leak is gone. Andy called me a while later to verify my issues were resolved and that I was satisfied. Honestly things can go sideways with anything in life. However when you find a company that genuinely wanted to correct those issues and make it right that’s what’s really important. I will go as far to say my next remodeling project will have Andy and the Portage Glass team there. They provided great service and really stepped up. This was so much more than expected and I can’t thank them enough. Great job!!

This Company is the very BEST!! I was researching online and getting quotes to have a shower door installed for my tub/shower unit. I went to Home Advisor to hire a contractor. Within 1 hour, I got a call from Andy. He came out to give me a free estimate. I really like how Andy was honest, open and explained everything to me and all the options that I could get for my shower door. I decided to hired his company on the spot. Plus the price was very good. I had a budget which they worked with me on. This is much appreciated. He ordered the shower door. Dana, the office staff person called me on a Friday to have this installed on that following Monday. They came out exactly when they said that they would. Blake was the installer. He was very professional, greeted me at my door and shook my hand. He is a very nice young man. He was very careful with everything. Before he did the install, he explained to me what he will be doing. He protected my bathroom floors and shower with drop cloths. WOW, I am very impressed with his work. I like them so much that I recommended them to my co-worker to get a shower door installed, which he said that he called Andy for an estimate and will call him to get his doors installed. I highly recommend this company. Thank you!!

I would like to share my experience regarding customer service and pricing.Before I contacted Portage glass I received pricing from Midwest glass but their lead time out to get glass for my project was 6-8 weeks out due to many people in office contracting Covid. Due to this delay I contacted Portage glass. They were very helpful and their projected lead time was 3 weeks for install which was great. However, their pricing for same glass was 57% higher ($4,000 higher) than Midwest Glass, same type of glass.Their comment was they’re a smaller company and may not have the same purchasing power as Midwest Glass.My experience was to make sure you always get more than 1 quote. I feel 10 to 20% difference in quotes is normal in the marketplace but my experience was that portage glass was 57% higher than another quote I received. I thought this was exorbitant margins compared to what I believe is normal in the marketplace.Communication was very good but pricing, not so good for my project

After getting a high quote from one competitor and an unresponsive experience from another, we decided to try Portage Glass and Mirror for shower door purchase and installation.They were very responsive and followed through on visiting our home for accurate measurements and provided a competitive quote.The doors were installed quickly and professionally by skilled and friendly workers. Fabulous customer service. Pleasant quote scheduler. Friendly courteous knowledgeable quotes person. And surprisingly fabulous installation experience. Two young men installed our replacement front window. They were ready and eager to get the job done. They were kind, friendly and respectful. They are experienced and professional and gave us confidence in their work. Good to meet young people with exceptionally good work ethics. I will definitely call these people again when I need glass!

Portage Glass & Mirror did a fantastic job on the glass for our new shower. From the initial quote, the estimator that came out to install, everyone was fantastic to deal with. When Andy came out to measure, he gave great suggestions on the shower door placement and was extremely helpful.
