This is a follow up from the previous review above with Camp Town’s response.“Please take the time to read this. Then decide for yourself if should stay away from this dealer ”This is a follow up from the previous review above with Camp Town’s response.Bobby Parent wanted to add “perspective and context”. I will also add the same to be clear on events…From his response…Firstly, you purchased a 2004 motorhome with an initial list of items you wanted the dealership to complete, which the dealership completed in full. No, part of the list of repairs were finally completed by another repair company. This was after months of unsuccessful correspondence by email, phone and texts to you and your staff followed by a registered letter to Pat Butler, the president of Butler Group who owns Camp Town RV. None of our costs, except for the chassis air conditioning repair, were covered in full!!!From his response …. Further, after taking possession of the motorhome and some time had passed you emailed another list of demands which we worked with you on. These demands have continued over the last 8 months. And they will continue because you still haven’t supplied the missing ladder section that you and your salesperson assured us would be there. ….The costs to replace and repair the faulty spring shock and broken bracket for the cargo door has still not been addressed. You haven’t covered our cleaning costs incurred to clean the interior of the coach that your dealership did not complete as agreed. You haven’t covered the complete costs to re-do the roof repair which was done so poorly by your tech’s.From his response …The purchase of a 2004 motorhome does not come with a warranty, which is why we were careful to have a signed agreement on what work would be completed before you took possession to allow you to make a reasonable decision on purchasing it. The dealership allowed you every access to the motorhome and as much time as you needed before purchasing and taking possession.True! A warranty would imply that you had some responsibility for the function of the RV after it left the lot. How about supplying a unit that is fit for use at least???On our final inspection, before we drove it off of the lot, we noticed that even though the following items were agreed on to complete the sale, they weren’t done. …. the ladder section was still missing, the back up camera repair was not completed, the roof caulking repair was horribly done with visible gaps in the seams, the chassis air was still not functioning, and the spring shock for the cargo door had not been repaired.Further inspection revealed a defective propane tank that could not and would not be filled by any refueling station for safety reasons. That was brought to your attention immediately and you denied any responsibility for it. You said “It was not on the list”. So you allowed us to drive away (under protest) with an RV that was basically not usable for its primary purpose???From his response …The dealership has done everything we can in a reasonable and thoughtful manner, being firstly mindful of our customer and the satisfaction of our customer. It is painfully obvious that the above statement is untrue. If it were so, I would not be still after your company for compensation.!!!! Also of note, Camp Town RV also demanded payment “IN FULL” (three days after we had given a $3,000.00 deposit) which we paid, before they would send the motorhome out for its MOT safety check. UNHEARD OF IN THAT INDUSTRY AND IN MY LIFE TIME!!!What were they afraid of???My partner and I are only asking for things that were agreed upon. If and when this dealership acts responsibly and provides what is right and just, I will post that also.

So, this is a rare one for me, as I'm writing a review even though I didn't buy from Camp Town. Our trailer shopping experience led us to a large number of dealerships, and the people at Camp Town are some of the kindest and most helpful we came across. From helping our 3 year old to feel like part of the experience, to providing great advice, they made us wish we could have bought from them. Unfortunately there was a used trailer at another lot that we simply couldn't pass up, but I'll recommend shopping at Camp Town RV, and we will certainly go back should we look to upgrade again down the road. Thank you all for you'r help, and great work!

The service I received from Camptown RV during my recent purchase has been exceptional. I felt very welcome, and at ease in the showroom, no sales pressure applied. My experience with each employee in their individual area of expertise was very positive. A shout out to the friendly, professional, personable & very accommodating Ehab-who welcomed my granddaughter, mother & dog on several different occasions, down to earth Bobby, and financial ‘artist’ Reem. Together they’ve made my first RV acquisition a milestone to remember. I highly recommend this amazing team to anyone embarking on an RV purchasing adventure!

My wife and I have made several large, recreational purchases in the last few years, in a couple of different provinces, and I have to say that the entire experience from Camp Town RV was hands down the best we’ve had.We started shopping around for a new trailer about a month before we purchased, starting here. The sales staff greeted us as we got out of our truck, asked us a couple of questions on what we were looking for, then directed to us through everything they had on site that fit our wish list. When we finished looking, the saleswoman told us that Camp Town would be participating in an RV show at Canadian Tire Centre in a couple of weeks, but we were offered the show pricing that day at the dealership on two units we liked. Though we didn’t end up doing a deal, we felt we were offered a fair deal, with the manager offering us more for our trade and less on the vehicle price to make their offer worth more in the end.A couple of weeks later, we attended the RV show at the Canadian Tire Centre. There, Camp Town’s salesman met us in the parking lot, again asking us what we were looking for before chauffeuring us around in a golf cart to every unit on his list that fit the bill - even those being sold by other dealers participating in the event. He even went off to pick up a generator and even a mechanic just to show someone else’s unit in its full working capacity. We ended up falling in love with a unit from Camp Town - one of the same that we had liked a few weeks prior. Both the salesman and his manager made us the most attractive offer we had seen in a few years, including getting us out of our current, 6 year old unit. The finance manager also worked over the next day-and-a-half (through serious IT issues) to get us a good rate, and it was done. Because we had to come back the next day due to these issues with their IT, the sales manager even gave us a more-than-fair parts credit on the fifth wheel hitch for our truck, on top of the great deal on the trailer. After the show was over, we were shocked and impressed to find that the staff worked so hard back at the shop to have our trailer ready for pickup just 5 days after we bought it - this on top of them selling dozens of trailers at the show. The parts manager and her team moved mountains to ensure the hitch system was available for when we needed it (she ordered the part three times over to ensure SOMEONE delivered it). During our walk through of our unit, the service manager was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, able to simplify the functions of all the trailer’s systems so that anyone could understand. He even provided us with his contact details so that we could contact him directly with service questions in future, and worked closely with his staff during the install of our hitch system and hookup to our truck. He even made a quick repair to a curtain tie back himself when we found it during delivery. To sum up, my wife and I HIGHLY recommend Camp Town RV for anyone in the market for a new RV. Though they’ve only been open a couple of years, every member of their team is absolutely KILLING it in the customer service department, and we are sure that you will have as great an experience as we did if you trust them with your purchase.

Wonderful experience they made us feel like family. Roger's was great showing us the various trailers we were interested in. There was no pressure from joe or tom to buy. They knew our bugget and stayed within it. They next day we came back and they even offer to put the two were we were looking at beside each to help us compare . When we finally made the decision bob and victoria were great answering all our questions. Can't wait to start using our new trailer. Thank you all again .

Please take the time to read this. Then decide for yourself if should stay away from this dealer (and other RV, car and motorcycle dealers that are owned by the Butler group)!!!!!In August of last year, my wife and I purchased a used Class A motorhome from Camp Town RV in Manotick Ontario. On the day, we took delivery, we noticed that the “frame mounted” propane tank was heavily corroded and showed signs of leaking at the fittings (green residue). From my past experience with RVs and with inspection standards, I felt that the tank was unsafe and that likely no filling depot would agree to fill the tank, rendering the motorhome unusable. (Propane is used in these motorhomes to supply fuel for the cooking system, heating system as well as refrigeration and water heating. As such, the motorhome could not be used for its primary purpose of being used to travel to live and cook in).I took photos right away (dated) and we went inside of the dealership and brought this issue up to the Sales Manager, Bobby Parent. He suggested that they were not responsible for the issue. We took delivery after telling him that we would be pursuing the matter further. After leaving there, we stopped at the Flying J in Napanee, Ontario to get the propane topped up. As expected, the attendant refused to fill it due to its condition.Bobby Parent told us that we should have noticed the issue when we looked at the unit the first day. I feel that we have been taken advantage of by this dealer and the President of the company.BUYER BEWARE!!! THEY SOLD US AN $80,000.00 RV THAT WAS NOT USABLE and will not help us pay for that and other required repairs. We had to have the propane tank replaced at a cost of $3,200.00 so we could get it filled to use the motorhome. We have sent registered letters to Pat Butler, President of Butler Group to no avail. We have corresponded with OMVIC (Ontario Motor Vehicle Dealers Association) the consumer protection group for motor powered vehicles and TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority), the group that regulates and polices dealers and installers of anything related to pressurized and other fuels, and containment and safety regarding all of these. They seem powerless against this dealer and its owner.

Camptown is probably one of the friendliest dealerships I've been to! Victoria in sales is an absolute peach! Super knowledgeable, and friendly. She even had a drawer full of snacks that my son loved. The whole staff was super friendly, and inviting! You won't regret buying your RV through camptown RV
