Cool spot to stop for refreshments while in an adventure. No sign of Tom Green, but saw chickens and ducks.

Love it! Such an interesting old store, full of character and chock full of out of the ordinary items. The sandwiches being offered are changed daily and I would highly recommend trying them. ..the ones we tried were scrumptious !

Always friendly and helpful service. Food selection and supplies is good for a country corner store. Recommend you try one of their home-made breakfast sandwiches (I believe they are available every morning except for Sundays).

Not only magasin general sells chicken feed and all the quick things you forgot in your grocery shopping. But they have the best sandwiches in 1hour drive radius.The owners are super friendly and helpful and are there for the community.If you don’t need anything you at least need a sandwich!

Not a big deal but the store is in Lascelles not Alcove. Lascelles was established back in 1845 and at its height had a cheese factory, a blacksmithing forge, this general store, church and a school. The brick church we see there today was built from 1906 to 1910. Lascelles includes Lac Bernard and Lac Johnston.

Best country grocery store EVER! You need to stop in for the cool antique farm tools, the fresh baking, the great friendly customer service. Delicious local Artisan food products available as well (jams, crafts, other unique local things). Their fresh pies are THE BEST.

Best place in the municipality of La Peche to have breakfast or lunch. Great owners and friendly staff.Word is spreading about this great place and the folks at the store are hitting the mark on great customer service as usual. A for sure spot to spot while visiting the countryside.
