From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the mouth-watering aroma of authentic Greek food. The menu was diverse and featured a range of traditional Greek dishes, including souvlaki, gyros, and spanakopita.I ordered the calamari, which was cooked to perfection and served with fresh tzatziki sauce and a side of Greek salad. The flavors were incredibly bold and delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. The food was reasonably priced, making it an excellent value for the quality and quantity of food offered.The service at Opa Souvlaki was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming ambiance.Overall, I highly recommend Opa Souvlaki to anyone looking for authentic Greek food in Calgary. Wow. Great job Opa at kicking out a young mother in your store last night with 2 little babies. She was trying her best to get them sorted out and was asked to leave. She was a paying customer and had to stand out in very cold weather with her babies because you deemed a crying baby a “disturbance”.Families (or everyone) - avoid this place. I will be making sure I share this on all the mom groups.I checked in with the Mom and she was humiliated and crying.You will never again see my business and I will be sharing this with everyone I can.

i usually have a good experience with opa but i got the calamari today and right after i ate it i felt super sick and i threw up and only after i felt fine. something wrong w food

Food is normally pretty good here but I give 3 stars due to skimpy portion size on busy days, at least at this location. I don’t know if it’s just me, but every time I come on a busy day here they cut way back on portion size but if I go when it’s not overly busy then it’s decent. If I am paying the same amount of money every time then I expect consistency.

NOT KID FRIENDLY!!!Witnessed horrible customer service towards a woman and her two very young children at this location.Woman was asked to leave because her kids were crying and according to the employee they were deemed a disturbance to the other customers.Will NEVER visit this Opa again and will recommend to anyone I know to not spend their hard earned money here either.Would have given zero stars but goggle will not allow it.

Yesterday I went into the store to order food to be told I can’t order fries or calamari?! So I asked why and he said the fryer needed to be cleaned… and they were in the middle of doing so so I couldn’t order what I wanted. So I checked the time and it was only 8:50pm; I asked him when they closed and he said 10pm... so I asked why they were doing the fryers an hour and ten minutes before close… since I work in a kitchen and know it takes maybe 20mins max! He replied: “the other one is broken” that doesn’t even make any sense! That’s exactly why you should wait till last minute to clean the only fryer working! You’re still open! needless to say my partner and I left… we were going to order a lot of food. Shame… and after reading other comments I will not be supporting this location anymore.

The staff at this restaurant is honestly horrible. They are all at the back and ignore you for 20min only to yell at you, not once but twice by two different men (5sec apart) that the store closes at 9:45 (mind you the signs say 10pm). I will telm everyone to avoid this place at all times. You treat your customers like garbage!

please can you guys wash your lettuce..? got a pita and first piece of lettuce on there had TWO dead bugs. fries were good but i didn’t eat my wrap after that….
