Cali Nails

I go every couple weeks and usually love them but the last two times I asked for oval (as I always do) and they gave me square. They argue with me that it’s oval until I finally just stop asking for them to keep fixing them because I get frustrated. I just go home and file them myself now. I hate square looking nails on me. Please learn the correct nail shapes when a customer asks!

I’ve encountered a lot of issues while getting my nails done :1. Their prices vary - my friend gets her nails with shellac polish(no nail art) at $40 , but they charge different to different customers2. They are not detail oriented & their extension are always maligned from your actual nailWhen you tell them their mistake - they always blame it on the shape of your nail3. Filing - i asked for a square shape , but they file excessively from corners & turned it into a coffin !!I do not recommend this place to anyone , as they just care about money & not about client satisfaction !Visit if you wanna waste your money & annoy yourself !

3 visits with my teens. The technicians have done a great job each time but I'm completely over being grossly over charged. It's not a mistake, not an oversight & not due to language difficulties. On each visit I've been overcharged on average $30 a pop. On one occasion I was charged $38 for not a manicure, but having one teens nails just clipped which I'd been told would be $10. The other day a $50 service (confirmed in advance) ballooned to $80 at the cash. Fluent language skills seem to suddenly fail when the massive overcharge is pointed out to the owner at the cash. None of us will be back.

Decided to bring my friend for her birthday to get her acrylic nails done, also got a set. Did what the pictures showed but did a horrible job, very rushed, very cricked and not fully covering the nails. Barely finished filling them and was having pieces hanging off that were very visible. My friends nails are still sharp enough to scratch someone or something pretty bad. Top coat isn’t even fully covering the polish on mine and didn’t put a top coat on the set for my friend. After asking for a 5$ or 10$ off due to these issues they argued and were very disrespectful and gave 2$ off. Very disappointed with these services. If I could give a zero star I would.. very disappointed.

Be prepared for the old bait and switch. I asked the price of a pedi before going in and was told 35.00$. I was treating a friend. I made the mistake of putting my feet in the water before picking a colour. Was given the shellac colours. I told them I did not want shellac, I wanted regular nail polish. I kept asking and they made it seem like they didn't have it. The woman also did nail art on my nail that I did not ask for and then was charged for. So they up priced me by 30 dollars for the 2 of us. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Very disappointed! I usually go to Le’s nails but I wanted to switch it up and try Cali’s. My mom and I went expecting it to take the normal amount of time to get the acrylic tips with a colour. It took about an hour for both of us (which is faster than normal). When the women started my nails I asked for her not to use the drill as much since I have thin nails and she shushed me basically telling me “ya, ya”. After she never asked me how long I want my nails. She just cut them as short as they will go. I typically like decent size nails in length because you want them to be at least a bit longer in length than your natural nails. Then she gave me the bin of colours to choose from and I had like 30 seconds to look for a colour because she kept pounding me with “what colour do you want?” And starring at me. Finally I just chose a random colour because I was over it. The shellac is thick and there were pieces underneath I had to pick out. I had to fix them when I got home. She had done the same to my mom, she was rushed into picking a colour that we both weren’t satisfied with because she wouldn’t give us enough time. My little cousin could do a better job than what they had done. Then we paid $105 for two sets of acrylics that we both didn’t like. Very disappointed and never going back! I would recommend Le’s 10x more than here!

They did a terrible service, they do not care AT ALL ABOUT THEY'RE CLIENTS SATISFACTION. They overcharged for a refill 60$! THE LADY DID THE NAILS BUMPY,DISCOLORED AND VERY BAD SHAPED. NEVER COMING BACK HERE IT'S DISGUSTING. Don't go there at all! I went to get my nails done and they told me they had the acrilic powder. Then the lady started putting shellac on my nails instead of what I asked for! (Acrilic powder french manicure). The lady did a did in acrilic powder, (again not what i asked for) and did a very bad job with my nails. They where bumpy discolored and thick, very ugly nails! When I kept saying to the lady that I didn't like my nails she ignored me! And pretended to be deaft. I am DEFINITELY NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS SERVICE AND MY NAILS! The service is TERRIBLE! The Boss is ignorant about the problems in his nail salon. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CLIENT'S SATISFACTION, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY AND THEY OVERCHARGE A LOT FOR A TERRIBLE JOB ON MY NAILS. Never ever coming back to this disgusting nail salon.
