Niagara Kyo-Mart

The Mochi tastes wonderful. The small market has their important goods at a very well price (as you can see I hadn’t spent much as I would’ve at another mart.) The customer service was great as the cashier was nice and knew what was what. Also the place is ver sanitary and obviously care about what is going on around the world with the disease, so do not be afraid to enter as they take care of the market with providing wipes, gloves, and hand sanitizer. They have many sweets, frozen Japanese ingredients, non frozen Japanese ingredients (sauces, mixtures, etc.) It’s a bit small and in a odd area but they do give more than the essential Japanese Items, so do not underestimate. They also have a Japanese restaurant in the back incase you want Japanese food very convinient and smart. (They sell rice cookers (need to be pre ordered) and also Japanese Dishes.) I can’t wait to come back when I arrive in Niagara Again!!!! By the way, the Japanese chips weren’t like regular Doritos or anything and have their own taste, so worth trying. The coconut cookies and the bun was not too sweet but also not bland at all. The Mochi is the perfect amount of sugar. All put aside, I hope this market gets through covid and is still standing afterwards!

Definitely worth a visit. They carry a wide variety of products that you might find in a Japanese food store in a larger city.

Terrible service. I wanted to read the menu for the sushi restaurant next door but the cashier took the menu right away from my hands and just gave me the business card. How am I supposed to know what to order when I can’t read the menu???

Great shop, awful service.We visited yesterday and we were looking forward to this because we have been here before and we love the shop. But we really felt bad because the cashier gave us attitude that we don’t think we deserved. Nothing mean was said but the cashier rolled her eyes at us when we asked about products that turned out to be sold out, hardly responded when we asked if we could use the hot water for our ramen (they have a station for that with chopsticks and everything) … over all we felt we weren’t welcome.

It's a bit small, but good selection of the important products you would expect.Prices were fair, parking was available, staff was kind and they have a nice little rewards program.Can't say much, but what I can say is I've had a good experience and will be back

Spent the good part of the day searching for some Japanese ingredients and should have just started here! Super friendly, enthusiastic… and had everything we needed! Huge THANK YOU for helping make our exchange student’s Okonomiyaki a HUGE success! Awesome grocer that has now become our go-to location!

Love this little store! My girlfriend and I visit every time we come to Niagara falls
