Hands down the BEST gym in town!! The staff are incredibly warm and inviting. They make you feel like a part of the family. As well, the setting is amazing. It is carefully thought out and intentional - you can tell they really care!I’ve been to all of the climbing gyms in the city and nothing comes close to Blocs. Highly recommend!

Had a blast here with a friend of mine! Only $20 to drop in and rent shoes! I will definitely be coming back here soon!

I absolutely love this gym, it’s set up well and the climbs are great. It’s also massive, so even when it’s fairly busy there’s usually something to climb without waiting too long.I climb here at least 3 days a week if not 4 or 5, and there’s always something to work on.I haven’t used the weight room yet, but I love that it’s an option - if only I could convince myself to do anything but climb once I see the walls! I also appreciate the large space with hang boards and other training equipment - my old gym didn’t have near as much training space.*ETA*Unfortunately they had some roof repairs that meant a large chunk of the gym was roped off - but after expressing my frustration with this, Terry reached out to offer to cancel my membership free of charge due to the unforeseen problems (i.e. water pouring from the ceiling). What phenomenal customer service when the problem was out of their control! I ended up deciding to keep my membership here, since the staff have always been great and I love the gym.My only complaint is that I wish they were open earlier, I’d love to get a climb in before work! Or even open a bit later on the weekends, I’d love to be able to go as late on Sunday as I can on Monday. Hopefully if it gets a bit busier during the day they’ll be able to extend their hours eventually. For now, I’m happy to make the hours work for such a great gym.

Best bouldering gym I've been to. Modern facility with a good layout to stay out of the space of others. Well set problems with lots of cool/big holds.

Welcome to the biggest bouldering facility in Alberta! I attended the grand opening and had a blast trying out all of the problems and looking around the newest addition to Edmonton's climbing gyms.The staff were friendly and maintained their composure, even when technical difficulties arose with their brand new check-in software as 100 people arrived and lined up outside. The shop area was well-stocked with branded merchandise, chalk and brushes, as well as a fridge full of healthy beverages. The route-setting seemed really well done (there was even a beginner-friendly, competition-style block route!) and the grip was really rough so I didn't need a lot of chalk (but that might also be because the holds were so new). There's a giant workout area that looks similar to the gyms I've seen pro climbers use on YouTube. Last but not least, the membership prices are some of the lowest I've seen in the city so far - especially for what's available at this gym.All in all, I would highly recommend checking out Blocs as soon as you get the chance!

My wife and I had a great time. I can't often say this about climbing gyms, but nearly everyone was really friendly. Lots of climbing gyms have friendly people, but this gym had only friendly people on the day I visited. The energy and atmosphere were top notch, and we enjoyed the setting and great crash mats. Even if you're a beginner you can spend a long time here and still have fun.

Climbing here was one of the most fun times i’ve had climbing this year. I really enjoyed myself. I first visited about a year and a half ago and wasn’t the biggest fan of the setting, but on this visit it seemed as thought quite a bit had changed. A lot more usage of volumes and varied hold types. The new section is absolutely amazing. So many constant changes of angle and many different terrains to climb on. This is a large gym and you will not climb it out in a weekend. Doesn’t seem to be a big focus on aesthetics but they truly make up for it in the movement they provide for the climbers. I also had zero issues finding new friends and people to climb with, they seem to host a great community. Thank you Blocs for the great experience. I look forward to my next visit.Edit: I went again today and noticed some things, very quiet music and not super engaging staff. Didn’t see anyone leave the front desk once in 2 hours to engage with customers, 2 downsides for myself.

Love everything about this gym from the friendliness of the community + staff to... how clean and spacious it is. It has a large training area with a wide variety of hangboards, campus boards, weights etc. The grading here is fair and the sets are fun. There are many unique holds here. The changerooms are spacious with a foot wash area and lockers (bring a lock). There is an early bird special where it is $12 before 1pm otherwise it is $18.

Great place for bouldering! Large space and lots of challenges, routes are well marked. Friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Tables at the front are great for taking a break and playing chess.
