Was treated great and got great service at first. After you pay its a different story. Had a delivery set for between 8 am and 9 am. I am 5 min away and was told i would be the first delivery. Great. Had helpers show up early to wait. No load and no phone call. Called around 11 am and was told that i was not on delivery. They said driver was out and won't be back for an hour.Which i think is just a way to by time. How can they tell so fast with out even checking with the driver. I cancelled order. Will check to see if refund was done as not a trusted company.Not impressed with this place at all. Day wasted not just for me but the help i had too.I thought helping local or in your neighborhood was important ( even though you pay more) but not.Go elsewhere for better deals and more respect.

I found natural stone, gravel, sand, sod, soil, mulch & unique stones products displayed in a neatly organized format. It felt like shopping in a boutique for rocks. Personable, knowledgeable, & honest, wonderful customer service, Cathy & Frank & the entire Rock and Gravel Boutique team really care to match you with the right stone & material for every project. You can tell they care to make a difference. They have great prices, always reasonable & they really know their products. We can't say enough good about them, they really care & demonstrate exceptional customer service on a daily basis.

This is my 3rd year purchasing from the Rock and Gravel Boutique. I find they always have an interesting selection of quartzite flagstone. This year's purchase was a beautiful quartzite step (it is a giant stone). The staff are always accommodating, polite, and helpful. See you next year!

Some businesses really need an extra star to 5. I visited this place today hoping to find some boulders for my garden. Let me tell you, their amazing collection of super beautiful rocks and their fair pricing is only part of my experience here. Their customer service, manner and kindness is way above Canada, US and any other countries I have visited. Unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent place, friendly and very professional. Talked with Cathy and she was knowledgeable and very help full for a project I was working on. The prices are amazing and they provide buckets, shovels, help and even water.Highly recommend going to this place. I've been here a few times and wouldn't go anywhere else. I ordered some armour stone for a backyard project from Ferndale. It was my first time dealing with them and it was a great experience. I dealt specifically with Ron the owner. He is very friendly, professional, and punctual. The delivery of the armour stone went smoothly and was unloaded exactly where I wanted it. Overall, I would highly recommend using this company for your landscaping needs. Thanks again.

I don't live in Barrie, but I was doing a project at a friend's place in Barrie, and we sourced our aggregate from Ferndale Gardens. The reason I'm leaving a review is because they really came through for me after another project supplier messed things up.We rented an excavator from a place in-town, but they ended up delivering one with a bucket that was bigger than what we requested. This ended up making our excavation about 1 cubic yard larger than anticipated, which meant we were 1 cubic yard short on the gravel we ordered from Ferndale Gardens.Now, anyone in the landscaping industry will tell you that aggregate suppliers will not sell and deliver a single cubic yard of anything. They always have three, four, five-ton minimums, but, hearing about our situation, Ferndale Gardens sent out a small truck to us with the cubic yard we needed, and I really appreciate that flexibility and understanding, hence my review. They seem like decent people, running a decent business, and if I do work in Barrie again in the future, I'll be sure to use them!

So disappointed in this place.My husband and I went on a Saturday to look at stone for a large project at our home. We spoke with Cathy and she was great, spent time with us and made several suggestions of what our options were. She said she was going to the quarry on the following Monday and to text details. My husband sent her all the details, she responded once by text and has never answered since. My husband has sent a follow up text and called twice, once leaving a message with the daughter in law and the second time leaving a message on Cathy's phone. We've been completely ghosted. I get that we aren't contractors but I really didn't think we'd get turned down when our project was going to cost $10,000.This place has so many good reviews. They were so kind to us. Customers even said to us 'Cathy is the best! She will take care of you.' and now this. It's just really upsetting.

Just got off the phone with Cathy to inquire about a few different products, she was extremely helpful and patient with me, it was an absolute please to speak with her. I will be heading to Rock and Gravel Boutique which is about 1hr away from my house.

Excellent supply of granular and aggregate. Very competitive pricing.
