I tried a couple places in Montreal before finding Borealis after an especially bad experience at another place and I couldn't be happier.Their prices are fair, they work fast (and give accurate time estimates of when your order will be ready) and most importantly the quality is always impeccable. The student discount is a nice added bonus. Highly recommend!

bilingual and friendly, this place develops film really quickly. it's also refreshingly affordable for developing black and white film, which at many labs can set you back a surprising amount in this day + age.

This is my go to place when it comes to film and processing when I'm visiting Montreal working on projects. They are fast, friendly and reliable and passionate about photography. The turn over rates are quick and they do a quality job which is rare these days ☺️

With only a 10 day visit to Canada (around Christmas time), I had to quickly get 11 rolls of 35mm E6 slides processed and mounted as well as 1 roll of 120 E6 processed (all a mix of Provia, Velvia, and Ektachrome).Three days after Borealis received my package, I had the photos all perfectly processed and mounted back at my address in Toronto! The service was very quick and the quality was top notch.I was worried about not receiving my film before my departure back to the jungles of Borneo, but Borealis made sure that I would not be disappointed after I had informed them of my time constraints. Thank you so much! The photos look great.About quality of slide processing, I can say this... I have used labs all over the world over the years (Singapore, Dubai, Korea, USA, Canada). And even though it's getting more difficult to find quality labs, Borealis continues to produce exceptional results without taking shortcuts. The best two labs that I currently use are AGX labs in Michigan and Borealis labs in Montreal. Both provide personalised service and magnificent results.Merci!

My experience at this great lab is always excellent. Service is impeccable, and the team at Borealis will go out of their way to exceed expectations. From film processing, to scanning, to printing, they have gained my complete trust. Since they also keep a nice inventory of film rolls and sheet film, it makes them the perfect one-stop shop.

It was an amazoning experience when I found out Borealis Photo Lab and sbumit my first E6 film and 3 other c41 films to develop and scan. The E6 films are looking gorgeous by mouting them on slides and also how nicely the package was being packed while I received other negative films by mail. Thank you very much for the hardwork and service, will definitely come back!

Excellent customer service and quality! They give the right time estimates and I always pick up on time. They really go out of their way to accommodate customers..I have come from Ottawa a few times to develop my slide film and they have always processed for me in my narrow time frame. Thank you!

The inside of my film roll was perfectly fine to be developed, I don’t understand why the staff never called or gave me an explanation as to why they didn’t develop my film even after I came back a second time. Got an overall bad feeling from the staff and felt quite disappointed, would not recommend.
