This law firm Duncan Craig LLP placed a Writ of Enforcement on our home after doing a title search lookup, my name is the same as the debtor they were looking for on behalf of the Bank of Nova Scotia. Problem was they did not check ther birthdate, social insurance number or middle name that where all different from the Bank Of Nova Scotia debtor. We had to contact a lawyer to help us as receiving a Writ Of Enforcement from Land Titles is quite scary for the average (non-legal) person. When we pointed out the error and faxed over our driver's license copy to Duncan Craig LLP they told us that it was an mistake on their part and they would discharge the writ.Problem was when we asked Duncan Craig LLP for our expenses to be covered (1 hr legal fees) they told us no, that they were not obligated under section 122(9). They said my name and the Bank of Nova Scotia's debtors name were similar so not their problem. I think if a law firm or any other company made a mistake like this they would go out of their way to make it right or even send a note saying sorry about this. Duncan Craig LLP choose another path and basically told us to go pound sand.Because of this I cannot recommend Duncan Craig LLP for any type of legal work, there lack of professionalism in doing the land title search research combined with a lack of ethics or moral obligation in covering our expenses incured because of there error is a big red flag to stay away from this firm.

Had a will completed by Greg Miskie, who explained the terms and definitions in plain English, and offered suggestions based on realistic possibilities. A little slow on the delivery of the actual documents, but otherwise a great experience.

Chelsea at this office was extremely unpleasant and horrible to deal with. She has a nasty attitude and I would not recommend this place solely to avoid this soiled character of a person. Extremely unprofessional.

Helen Ward speaks to her clients like they are children. Does not listen. You can have a phone call with her for 575 per hour, explain your case (believing that she is an expert in her field - because her advertising says so) and be overwhelmingly disappointed.She is the 'Lawyer's lawyer,' not looking out for you, but for peer reviews.Do not waste your time or money.
