Worst experience renting a vehicle from here. Terrible communication, no help what so ever! Vehicle smelled of stale cigarette smoke. To top it all off my vehicle was crashed into from another vehicle while parked at this location for mere hours and left with thousands of damage that now I have to have repaired. Never I repeat never leave your car here for any purpose ever if you have to rent one of theirs. Will never rent from here again!

Quick in and out the place. The guys helped rented the vehicle while helping their fueling customers. Cash is also accepted at this UHAUL location. Definitely recommended

Horrible experience, judging by the previous reviews, I'm not the only one. If you need a Uhaul in Courtenay/Comox, go to the other location at Kean Auto, they're super nice (near Canadian Tire). Here's my story with this location: I returned all equipment on time. I handed the keys to the person at the cash and asked if they needed me to do anything else - they said I didn't need to do anything and I was good-to-go. They didn't check anything when I returned the Uhaul. Two days later, a person named Sarita called me and was literally yelling/screaming at me and accusing me of stealing Uhaul blankets and a utility dolly rental - NOT true - the location also didn't do any due diligence when I dropped-off the Uhaul, they just accepted my keys and said I was OK to leave, they didn't check that I left the blankets/dolly in the Uhaul. I purposely folded all the blankets and left them neatly inside the Uhaul (as well as the utility dolly) to avoid the $25 cleaning fee. Then, 19 days later, on June 21, I was charged (without ANY notice) for an 19 extra days of TRUCK rental, even though the person who called me from the location (Sarita) acknowledged that I at least returned the TRUCK on time (but accused me of stealing the rental blankets and a utility dolly?). I was charged $1150 - the receipt stated that this charge was done via MANUAL credit card entry and it specifies who made the charge - Sarita. I will definitely be changing my credit card number after this - how does this person even have access to my credit card number, how are they able to charge me for an amount that was never pre-authorized, and how is it acceptable to do this via manual entry? I noticed the charge to my credit card 30minutes after it happened and I tried calling the location 6 times, no one picked-up. Then I decided to call Uhaul Customer Service, the service representative got hold of the Uhaul location and initiated a three-way call. The Uhaul location HUNG-UP on us during the three-way call! The Uhaul Customer Service Representative wasn't able to get the location back on the phone so they opened a ticket so that a Uhaul Customer Service Manager calls me back. After this, at a last attempt, I emailed the Uhaul location on why they charged me $1150, asked them why they hung-up on the three-way call, and expressed that I'll come to the location that day for a refund. After I sent the email, I tried calling them again, Sarita finally picked-up the phone and couldn't provide an explanation on why they charged me an extra 19 days of TRUCK rental. Sarita also said that it was her manager (someone else) that made the charge and that it was out of her hands" and she was "on holiday"

prices for storage boxes much higher than what's shown on official UHaul site. Better to go to Home Depot

No idea why anyone would give a low rating: family run business for U-Haul as well as gas station and I always get good customer service there. This time rented a truck and everything went smoothly; they were very accommodating. Nice folks.

Staff knew how to take and process the reservation and do the checkout and check in. No problems at all. Trailer was very clean and functioning well. Blankets were clean and well organized. Overall a good experience.

Terrible. Booked a truck. Showed up to pick it up at the 10am reservation time and no one was at the store. We waited 35 mins and nothing. We had to call another uhaul last minute to get another truck. Thankfully they had one. Will never go back. Horrible customer service.

Horrible experience. Never answers phone, answering machine is always full. Does not respond to messages. Strongly do not recommend!

U Haul keeps steering us to this place even though we’ve tried to rent elsewhere. Terrible service! We just showed up to return a rig and he put a sign on the door that he’d be back in 5 minutes! He saw us arrive! Would love an alternative to this place.
