Edmonton Christmas Market at Fort Edmonton Park
Such an amazing market and winter experience. There is nothing like this in Edmonton. It is not just a Market to shop there is food halls, drinks, concerts, plays in the theater & so many activities for kids, it is unreal. Definitely worth the $15 ticket to enter, even just walking around looking at the lights on the midway is an experience.

Pretty disappointed that this is advertised for kids and during such an inflation for families being enticed to the market to hopefully enjoy activities included in admission and have some money left over for gift buying. Instead you pay $30 to enter the grounds only to be met with a cost for every activity you want to do•$6 per person for a 1 min carousel ride•Added cost for cookie decorating• Added cost for horse drawn carriagesMost heritage buildings closed which was expected for preservation during cold periods but why have the entire grounds open? You walk 10-15 minutes across the park to find a confectionery store that has no candy, a bar and a couple other vendors. The live music was nice but the whole concept of walking through the doors for $30 and having to pay for every single activity made no sense to me. Santa was great but again big waste of money I wanted to pay admission and have cash for supporting local instead I felt it was a money grab! Would not recommend for kids.

It was pretty disappointing. We paid $18 for yhe entrance fee, The highlight was the carousel. But what disappointed me was that there was nothing Christmas about the market. I could have gone to some of our regular local markets to see the same stands. And not pay the entrance fee. The wagon ride, we chose not to take because we were done paying. Instead of charging $6 for a ride that takes us back to our starting destination, they could have used it as a shuttle between the theater and the amusement park. But most important, for next year they need to make an effort to find vendors who can add a Christmas touch to their products.

This was the best Christmas market we have ever been to! It was a magical experience with tons for things to do for adults and families.Really liked how this was indoor and outdoor. For this only being the second year, we are really excited to see how the event grows in future years!!Such a great vendor selection too!I would highly recommend checking this market out.

Beyond disappointing. Not nearly as many vendors as advertised and the ones that are there are packed like sardines, overpriced food trucks all offering the same things, overpriced carousel and wagon ride. You spend money to get on the grounds just to spend more money. Literally nothing comes with the ticket you buy. We seen zero roving entertainers (does the instrumental band that played for maybe 5 minutes while we ate and then stopped count ?!), there was no advertised ice fairy. No Santa. Loads of overpriced alcohol if that’s something you’re into. If not don’t waste your money and go to bountiful farmers market instead.

I was super excited for this and although it was a nice outting… it lacked any Christmas vibe at all. You’ll see more decorations walking through a residential street with their lights and decor than anything here. I had high expectations and unfortunately was let down with the carnival vibe.I really enjoyed the vendors but again there was not much for winter/Christmas spirit.1 Christmas tree, 2santas, 1 ice sculpture.Lovers lane was maybe 10 feet long with a few lights. Can’t even get to first base with that distance geez. The tavern was very cute but waited 20 minutes for some cheese to melt on the flat bread lol and that was before the rush!Overall, it was ok but I won’t be visiting again next year unless it’s organized/planned by a different company.

Overall the market was fun(weekends are best) however DO NOT PAY FOR ADMISSION!!! We paid almost $100 for our family to visit only to realize that 90% of people don’t pay as there is no one stopping you from walking straight in. Even one of the employees told us they had no way of checking who paid and who didn’t. This also severely affected the vendors as they were clearly not prepared for the amount of people lots sold out before 5pm on a Saturday. The theatre was pretty great and all the vendors were lovely, just make sure you dress warm as it’s about a 300 person line up to enter the market building. Also bring your own drinks as most vendors sold out or didn’t have enough ingredients to keep up with the demand. Overall fun experience and very beautiful, however could be planned much better.

The negative reviews have me soooo confused...as they are entirely unjustified. I'm assuming they are from people more meant for the indoors"

The Edmonton Christmas Market at Fort Edmonton is such a wonderful event that really adds to Edmonton’s vibrant events scene and the Christmas spirit. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and help direct you where to go. When they didn’t know something, they made sure to get the answer from someone else. There were many activities to do as well as an astonishing amount of vendors. This is truly a must do every year to help support local entrepreneurship and just to have fun with family and friends. Be sure to check it out next year!

I am giving one star to have the opportunity to write my thoughts. This so called Christmas Market is an absolute joke! And the organizers have the audacity to ask for an entrance fee! For what?! There is nothing there: no proper Christmas vendors, no Santa, no kids activities, no atmosphere, absolutely nothing. It was a complete rip off! Every single person should get a refund. Period. This is theft. Shame on you organizers!
