Harcourt House Artist Run Centre

Fridays drop-in has become a social place for non-artists/disabled people. Food and coffee is distracting us from art work. Too much personal conversation has been also distracting.It used to be an inspiration when we had artists teaching artists , or beginners. It has been years that I'm not easily inspired, and I'm not learning nor growing as an artist.

It's a great place to do life drawing/painting and sculpting. They are decently priced, have live models, great people who run the classes. It's a safe place and they try to make everyone welcome.

Awesome artist community. Facilities are not fancy but people are knowledgeable, very kind and friendly. Interesting exhibitions. Great drawing/clay classes with live models.

Harcourt House is in a plain, spartan building but it IS where Art is! I have modelled there lots of times and it is well run and professional!! There are knowledgeable, creative and awesome artists at HH. E. Ross Bradley i . Multi-talented artist there and has always shown me kindness and integrity. I highly recommend him and Harcourt House.

Great place to find local artists and see their work. Free to enter and look at galleries. They accept donations. They are registered as a not-for-profit charitable organization. Any donations over 25$ are eligible for a charitable receipt

A gallery is only as good as its art. Curator Jacek Malek has organized a great showing of Group 9 works that are very worth visiting. Kudos to all of them.

I was on my way home and dropped in to see a feature show. The gallery attendant was friendly and knowledgable and directed me to the membership show setting up in the other area of the building. I was so pleased I saw both shows. The art and ideas growing in this city are very exciting !! Harcourt House is a community garden space for new and thriving artists to grow .

I went for the first time on Monday and had a great experience. I am so happy my friend took me because it really helped with my drawing skills. I’ll be back again soon!

A fantastic arts centre with studios and a gallery. It's an essential part of Edmonton's creative community. I frequent the gallery and enjoy the exhibitions tremendously. I recommend popping in for a look.

The work of artists at the renowned Harcourt House is being showcased and sold at the wonderful Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market. A Day at the Beach ~ Richie Velthuis art/sculptures is showcasing at the Harcourt House, Art Incubator Gallery Apr 28 - June 10 2023; Sadly, on July 31,2022 a bell rang 27 times at the Harcourt House Artist Run Centre building, which had been draped in billowing black curtains as imminent closure was faced by the artists. Recently, however Hon. Nicholas Milliken, Minister of Alberta Infrastructure, has granted the W.E.C.A.N. Society/Harcourt House Artist Run Centre a one-year extension to their lease, which will give them until November 30, 2023, to accomplish their fundraising goal and make their home permanent and stable. There are several pieces that have caught my eye in particular the mushroom bowl, toadstool mushroom and the sculpture of the hugging couple..Artists must be supported especially as we face difficult times with chaos in our inner and outer world and need inspiration for personal health and wellness.
