Very friendly staff. The older gentleman who planted the gardens was very charming. Delicious cappuccinos and desserts on the patio were a great rest on our day of sightseeing. We recommend you stop here on your travels.

We have been coming to this cafe for years. It is really our only true bakery in town and well loved. You can even order certain breads specially made. Keep up the good work!

Highwheeler Cafe & Bakery
We were so happy to find this gem during our recent trip to Cape Breton for the Cabot Relay Race. From the moment that you walk in, you’re warmly greeted by one the family members running this place. The coffee, which is roasted in house, is delicious and all of the baked goods are top notch! The breakfast sandwiches were also a fan fave in our group. It’s always a great visiting a place like this because you can really feel the love that goes into all the details. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!!

Amazing coffee, Java Blend, have had a latte and drip and both were perfect. Tons of baked goods, great breakfast. Super friendly service. I'm actually adding to this review because of how wonderful this place is. Going here was a major highlight of our time in Baddeck, such a warm spot to visit. One new drink I tried was unreal. The Heat Wave Spritz, so so good.

This cafe is an absolute gem! The fresh-baked goods are sensational, as are the sandwiches. The family who run the place are the most warm and wonderful souls who make you feel right at home. A must visit for breakfast and lunch. Great coffee!!!

We had coffees and treats and staff were awesome. We also got the last molasses home cooked bread and oatmeal cookies. The merchandising is top rate and a great place to hangout.

Discovered this gem of a place while traveling through Baddeck. Local family owned, 2 brothers run the place. Got to meet Mom and Dad that were working there as well, all very friendly and appreciative for the support. Terrific baked goods and sandwiches made with baked in house bread. Their porridge bread is awesome!!! They roast their own coffee beans as well, Terrific coffee. They helped us out with recommendations for stops along the Cabot Trail, took interest in where we were from. Genuine friendly people! Next morning before hitting the road we stopped in for blueberry scones for the road, best scone I have ever had! Highly recommend!

Amazing food and service! The lady was very kind. Explained all the food items and even places to go for any tourist. Very kind and food was tasty! They make their own coffee and bagels as well! We’ll definitely be back
