Excellent staff and vets. When we moved into the area and started looking for a new vet, we loved the reviews we saw for Central Vet. I’m so happy that our experiences at the clinic so far have more then lived up to those reviews. Very thorough exams on the animals, and they take the time to ensure they ask all the pertinent questions, as well as ensure your understanding on anything that presents in the appointment. The follow up calls for care is also a wonderful touch. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

I have dealt with both the Bashaw and Ponoka clinics. Both Dr. Kelly and Dr. Layton were absolutely fabulous dealing with my pups issues and very understanding. As well as the receptionists and Vet techs and assistants. I can't praise them enough. Also very reasonable in pricing.Carol

We stopped in to pick up dog food and found out our 12 year old miniature schnauzer needed a rabies shot within the next few weeks. As we were travelling out of town, one of the vets was able to exam our dog and administer the shot immediately. Such great customer service!

We had a wonderful experience at Central Vet Clinic! Dr. Cathy and Dr. Trey are absolutely amazing and so is every member of their staff from the techs to the front desk. I will never take our animals anywhere else, this clinic is 11/10! Everyone is so welcoming, loving and thorough. They really make you and your pet feel looked after and have your pets best interest at heart!

Called in with an emergency for my dog who was violently throwing up.I am from Wetaskiwin and as soon as I mentioned that I was told they would not serve me. And they also couldn't bother to point me in a direction that could. Luckily the other clinic in town was able to guide us through what was going to be a life ending event for our dog otherwise.I wish I had got the name of the individual on the phone because they shouldn't be caring for animals if that's their policy. My dog is clean. Just because she's from Wetaskiwin shouldn't have to affect us. But then the she could be a rez dog" comment was made by her too."

Dr. Leighton is very empathetic and knowledgable. I've been to other vets in the past who made me feel like I didn't have a choice in the treatment they decided on (if I was a good" pet owner) - but that was not my experience here! Dr. Leighton was able to educate me on our options and help me make the right choices for my fuzzy friend. I highly recommend!"

After my vet in Calgary retired I reached out to Central Vet as one of my old classmates helps run the clinic. I make the trek from Calgary to Ponoka and Bashaw gladly for the phenomenal service I receive. After providing care for my rescue boy for the past couple years, he passed in a no stress comfortable environment after hours. Thank you, I will always entrust the health of my fur souls in you.
