Our kitchen renovation is now complete (Aug 26_2022) and it is simply amazing. Thank you Merit, job well done.My wife (Lisa) worked with Merit right from the beginning concept and there was a great exchange of ideas. Both parties listened to each others ideas and came of with an awesome finished product. This was a custom design to suit the era of the condo (the 1940's)Everything was on schedule. The installation was very professional & done in a timely manner. There was no disruptions to any other condo owners.Lisa is ready to tackle another renovation and Merit will be at the top of the list. Merit installed our kitchen in 2016 which we were very pleased with and still enjoy immensely. They look as good as the day they were installed. Recently we had a problem with a drawer and were able to make an appointment within a week. I thought that was excellent service worth mentioning since times are busy and not every company reacts so positively. Would definitely recommend Merit and we'll use them again on another project.

We were shopping around for Kitchen companies as we were about to do a huge kitchen and bathrooms reno. I went to Merit's kitchen information night and won a vanity. The kitchen specialist I chatted with a lot that night was Susan Nickell. She seemed very knowledgeable and helpful so I agreed for her to come out to take measurements and come up with a loose plan to see if we were a good fit. She came out to our house, took the measurements, and asked me for a list of the things I wanted. I put together a list and sent it off to her. She responded that she received the list and then I never heard from her again. I still had to pick up my vanity so I tried calling, emailing, and stopping by in person. I never got a response. When I stopped by the shop I spoke to another lady who said that they had no idea who won what at the event and they couldn't help me. She told me that I would have to get ahold of Susan. I told her that I had tried calling and emailing and never got a response. I asked them to have Susan reach out to me and she never did.

We purchased a home that had been completely renovated in 2014. The kitchen was done by Merit Kitchens. It was a beautiful kitchen to begin with. Unfortunately over time the inner portions of the cabinet doors have begun to disintegrate because MDF was used and obviously were not sealed correctly. The doors around the sink and stove are obviously the worst, but it's happening to all the other doors as well. Every painting contractor I have talked to was shocked to see that they hadn't been sealed by caulking them prior to painting. Moisture and MDF do not mix! Kitchen cabinets should not look like this after only 6-7 years! The manufacturer indicated that they would be covered under warranty, but only to the original owner. The sales lady forwarded me on to a manager but they have been unresponsive. So it seems to me that we are out of luck! My recommendation would be to ensure they either use solid wood for the inner portion of the cabinet doors or ensure they are sealed properly. Please see pictures.
