Super fun visit today at Sloth Worldin West Edmonton Mall. We were able to come and go so that we could catch the sloth and others throughout the day. Friendly and attentive staff took many of the animals out for us to touch and see up close including crested geckos, snakes and a hedgehog. Our fave was the caiman. Workers said it could be a half hour to hour and a half visit (whatever you wanted) and the cost was completely reasonable. The educational show we attended was entertaining and informative. It was neat to see the sloth Barry Allen (The Flash) moving, eating, and resting. Check it out if you get a chance :)

Nice place. People were friendly and there's not much else overly spectacular. There's lots of frogs in tanks behind glass. They have a presentation a couple times a day, but not a lot of animal interaction, if any at all. The admission fees do not amount to the experience. It is more just walking around and looking at stuff. For this, I am giving it 2 stars. The facility itself could use an upgrade as well.

Wow. What an unexpectedly great experience! We always walk by the mall and never thought about this place. We thought it was a glorified petting zoo. Boy were we wrong. This place is super interactive. There are areas for the kids to dig for eggs and dinosaur costumes to play with. Almost everything is encouraged to be touched and play with. The best part was Fatima, she was really knowledgeable and friendly with the kids. She let my daughter touch a snake, tortoises and gecko. All the while teaching them how to safely handle the animals. Again, I highly recommend this place next time you're at the mall.

Had a great experience both with the private encounter and the group session. All staff were incredibly friendly, patient and knowledgeable. It was a super fun and unique birthday party. In case you plan on doing the same, there's no food allowed inside. But we easily walked out to the mall to eat some cupcakes. There's an almost empty wing of that mall with lots of benches just around the corner. Highly recommend! The kids and parents were all impressed! Thank you all!

Went to a little Rays Nature Centre with wife and kids today. It was a great experience overall. There was no line or need to book tickets in advance. Staff members were very knowledgeable and helpful during the visit. We were greeted by Margaret and she gave us a tour and additional information about almost all the animals they have at the centre and she made the experience much more enjoyable and interactive for the children with her expertise.

I did little ray experience where it advertised you can feed and hold him. It was a suprise from my grandparents because i was visiting from out of town. They booked it months in advance cause i told then about them i was thinking of doing it when i came. They day came and i was excited that i was going to be able to hold the sloth and feed it. I was told that they didnt allow that anymore. It was no worth the 200 that was spent, it was really disappointing because it false advertisement.Picture shows how close i was but that about all i could do besides watch and pet.

EDIT: Patti suggested I email to discuss my review/concern of falseAdvertising. I did do this a couple weeks after returning home from my vacation. I had to email twice only to receive a message that my email will be passed on to someone else. I took away one star for this.I will update when her director emails me.The sloth experience was super informative. We did get a chance to feed the sloth. This is advertised that we could have the opportunity to hold the sloth. We could not, and were told they do not do this. That is false advertising. Holding a sloth was the main reason this was booked. It is a lot of money to pay only to listen to sloth info. Very disappointing, and took away from what was expected.

We stumbled upon Little Ray's Nature Centre on our visit to West Ed. Definitely glad we did. Got to see Barry the sloth as well as a bunch of his reptile and amphibian friends. They also have a new baby sloth which is so adorable! This little place was worth the visit. Make sure to stop by and support this exotic animal rescue.
