Perfect place for when I want to change my look. Also great customer service. Amy is the kindest person I've ever met. She's always helpful and answers all of my questions. They have all hair extensions and great prices. I forgot my wallet one time and Amy let me take a hair oil home with me trusting that I will come back to pay for it. You don't get that kind of service anywhere.Thank you, Amy.

Today I went back to Golden Mart Beauty Supply to buy braiding hair for myself. I decided to go back as despite the reviews I read online I am the type to ignore what people say and pass my own judgment. The first time I went was to purchase braiding hair for my 7yr old niece the owner was super sweet and really helpful.Before I went to the store again I called to confirm she had what I was looking for and she did.So my niece and I went and again she was super sweet and really helpful. Got exactly what I was looking for and a few other items. We were in and out in approximately 15 minutes.Any hair needs go to Golden Mart.A word of advice..... Don't believe or agree with everything you read on the internet. Make your own judgment or opinion.I will DEFINITELY continue to buy all my braiding hair as well as hair products here.Thank you.CP

I really wish I could continue supporting this Black-owned business. I travelled 45 minutes to give this beauty supply store another try after not shopping here for some time, due to such poor customer service. I won't be returning. It's unfortunate since I like the product selection.WARNING!!! As mentioned in other reviews, customers are assumed to be thieves.Give your customers some space! Every time I made a move, the lady on the sales floor followed! This wasn't the lady who owns the store with who I believe is her husband. Is it necessary to be right beside me as I look at products? It was a challenge for me to focus.She also pretended to organize products already in order nearby me. She asked me several times if I needed help. We know what this is code for as a shopper. I'm perfectly fine with being asked once or twice, but she was so overbearing asking whenever I went to a different area. This all happened within ten minutes! It was extremely awkward and bizarre. I felt so uneasy that I didn't bother finish browsing. My guess is this lady was instructed to do this to customers. The products should be kept in locked cabinets if they don't know how to monitor customers correctly.It's sad that we have to also experience this by our own people! Show some respect to those supporting your business. There's a way to monitor while giving your customers some space. Please do better! I'm probably asking for too much since this business appears to just be a hustle with respect not being a top priority.

Nice product selection...nice location. Alll in all great experience! Hard to find beauty products down here since most of the stores cater to Canadians or South Asians! I'm an in 'n' out type of shopper so I don't mind moving quickly and not speaking with the sales associates! I understand that may be a problem for others but life goes on for me lool. I would definitely recommend this store.

Why does it say it’s open on Sundays google until you go all the way there just to see that it’s closes. Such a waste of time.

I usually never even write reviews but I feel obligated to warn people. If I could give this store 0 stars 10x I would . The store owner is absolutely horrible!. Not one ounce of customer service skills does she have at all just rude . I will never in my life go back! I’ve been to all the african hair stores in Surrey and by far she is the WORST her google reviews reflect the person she truly is . It’s ridiculous to think that one would ever think they can ever be successful and not even care or even know how to effectively communicate with their customers . This lady needs serious help and training.

Amy is very experienced in hair oils makeup ect..she runs this shop alone with a large amount of customers..it's hard but she makes it look easy..she's a great all around person I've been going there for yrs..she's a breath of fresh air.

Got 22 inch clips at a good price and good quality the lady was very beautiful sweet and fast. Will be returning

I had a good experience, friendly and helpful. The store has a very wide selection and I found the prices very decent. The lady that helped me was very nice, I am getting box braids for the first time and had no idea what I needed, she made it easy for me to choose the correct hair. Will go back again. I am happy I ignored all the bad reviews and decided to shop at this store.
