I returned to do my 2021 taxes and showed up early for my appointment.I dropped off my paperwork and Sumin had me on my way with my tax return cheque in short order! Fantastic people and service at a reasonable price.I highly recommend bringing your taxes to this location

Kate Bokhari was wonderful! I would recommend her to anyone. I returned to see her from last year. The staff at Deerfoot Meadows was friendly and professional. The cleanliness and and social distancing was excellent. They had a great set up and I saw them maintaining cleanliness. I am very pleased. I will return to see Kate next year. Previous years with H&R Block have been hit and miss, so i hope they continue to keep this up.

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.I dropped off my taxes to this location on March 22, 2019, where they told me it would take about two weeks. One month later I had not heard back from them, so I called. The receptionist informed me that Susan hasn't done them yet but she will do them ASAP". One week goes by and my taxes still are not done. I called them AGAIN and the receptionist tells me the same thing.I waited two days for Susan to call but she never did

I want to thank Jenny Chok and Sonal at the front desk for making my tax experience an absolute pleasure. My returns were done quickly and on time and chatting with the girls through all of it was a great experience. Thank you both for your professionalism and careing.

My Tax Expert did a fantastic job. She was attentive and smart - I would definitely trust her with any tax issue. Unfortunately, it was really quite expensive for less than an hour of work. I understand that the Tax Expert is not responsible for that though. I felt more comfortable going to a professional this time because the last couple years were tricky to file but I won't be returning because of the high price.

After visiting this location, after having taxes done at H&R Block for the last 3 years, I’ve decided to never use H&R block again, as well as get a specialist to go through the last 3 years (specifically this past years) on top of that to gather what’s been missed.Edit: 2 years since the review, and tax time coming up again figured I would shed light why it was a bad experience.The tax “expert” I went and saw then was definitely inexperienced, and quite frankly rude. I reside in a prescribed Northern Zone, which entitles me to a couple extra deductions for travel. Even after doing the leg work, and finding the Lowest Return Airfare amount, and printing off (right off the Government website) the exact wording stating why I could claim it and which deduction it is, I was still told it wasn’t allowed and that she wasn’t going to add it for me. Cost me about 3k less of my refund (hence the reason for the terrible review, and to never use H&R block again).I have since added that deduction to that years taxes, and have now gotten caught up on the last couple years after finding a reputable person to assist me, and have claimed it for those two years as well!!So if you have ANYTHING other that the basic tax deductions and simple taxes, take your business elsewhere. Might end up costing you 3k+ On your return.

If I could give zero stars I would. We trusted H&R block to file our deceased fathers taxes correctly and because of their mistakes it is an even more prolonged process. Without getting in to too much detail, I would recommend absolutely not using this company if you are looking for anything to be completed correctly. Do not let their “protection plan” fool you, as that is also a complete waste of money since they do not stand behind their work or their word.

Had an amazing experience with Kate Bokhari! She filed our returns in no time and she explained all the details which were very helpful and made sure we got the best service. Just a suggestion to have a water dispenser for the visitors.

Terrible. They tried to rip me off for $167.00 for a simple single retired person tax return. Tried to justify their cost by telling me I had a T5 slip with one line on it for $50 bank interest. I refused to pay. CROOKS.Went to Trans Canada tax, it was done in 45 minutes for $83.50 with gst.More like 0 out of 5 stars.NEVER GOING BACK TO H&R BLOCK AGAIN.

Great service and our tax expert Mrs. TAN explains everthing very well. She is so professional and kind. She has been our tax professional expert since we landed here in Alberta Canada. We look for her where ever H&R branch she was assigned to during tax filings. My husband and I are happy that she is already at H&R deerfoot meadows branch permanently and that we already know where to find her next year and whenever we need advice for our tax.
