The old saying, “you get what you pay for”, is true. I had a great experience and received the deck of my dreams from Hickory Dickory Decks.Geoff maintained regular contact from start to finish. He understood what I wanted, offered some very helpful and knowledgeable suggestions and his crew delivered exactly what I envisioned. A huge plus is that once the build started, they continued to work on the job until completion unlike the horror stories you hear about other companies starting a build and then abandoning the customer for weeks, months or more. Whenever I contacted Geoff I always received a prompt response. That’s golden!The crew, Kosal, Cameron and Kerry were amazing; they worked hard and smart, always polite and pleasant, neat and tidy with a clean up every night before going home, and regular check-ins throughout the build to ensure they were building exactly what I wanted.You will not be disappointed using this company to build your deck.

From start to finish, we were very impressed with Geoff and his crew. Everyone was very professional and once construction commenced, they returned every day until it was completed. We had recently moved into our new home and immediately we wanted to redo the deck in our backyard. We called three different local decking companies and found one company that stood heads and tails above the rest. The name of that company was Hickory Dickory Decks. After speaking with Geoff, we arranged a visit to our home. Geoff was on time (a little early actually) and very professional. He offered suggestions and ideas that other companies did not. His designs allowed us to maximize the space of our deck and obtain a fantastic layout with high quality finishes. The quote we received was among the most competitive and we felt that considering the high quality product we choose, we felt comfortable moving forward. Boy are we glad that we did. The installers (Ibrahim and his team) were incredible. They arrived on time and worked extremely hard, cleaning up the job site at the end of each day. In the end, we could not be more pleased with the final product. We've made so many great memories on our new deck that will last a lifetime. Thanks Geoff, Ibrahim + Team!!!

We had work done by Geoff Aucoin’s crew at Hickory Dickory Decks in 2017 and I’m finally getting around to reviewing them. I didn’t get to it last year because we were too busy lounging outside in our new outdoor space!I have no hesitation in recommending Geoff Aucoin and his building team.Geoff was great at helping us come up with a plan for our back deck, privacy panels and garbage “shed”. We went through several revisions before settling on a final plan and Geoff was patient and helpful throughout the process.The “deck” part of our plan ended up being the smallest component, really just a landing. However, the panels, garbage shed and panel around the air conditioner involved a lot more work.Kosol, the lead carpenter was amazing!!! He attended to every small detail, making the final result perfect. He and his crew were polite, tidy and a pleasure to have around. We were sad to see them go!

I highly recommend Ivan Icaza of Toronto West. From the moment we contacted him, Ivan was very professional and helped us make decisions regarding the budget and design of our deck. He provided us with lots of samples and explained the pros and cons of each. He also gave us a lot of ideas and suggestions regarding design and how to save costs. He tried his best to work with the very small budget we gave him. He was in constant contact with us, letting us know what’s happening every step of the way. He and his team member, Tom, came in early every morning so that the job would be completed early. They were very friendly and always happily answered all of our questions and concerns. I’ve had bad experiences with contractors who just don’t care but with Ivan and Hickory Dickory Decks, I just sat back and knew that I was going to get something wonderful in the end. We’re very happy with the final product; it’s a very peaceful and zen space. I would highly recommend Ivan for any future projects!

We had the pleasure of working with Geoff and Kerry on our deck project. It was a great experience from the beginning to the end. Geoff was very easy to work with and very responsive during the initial planning phases on the project. He answered all our questions promptly and helped us with the design of our deck. During the construction of the deck, Geoff provided frequent updates about progress and always kept us in the loop. Kerry did an amazing job with the deck and the attention to detail can be easily seen in the end product. Geoff and his team were amazing! We initially met in the fall of last year to get a quote and Geoff was easy to work and communicate with regarding the design and budget. We were able to use a mix of cedar and composite decking to fit our budget and he was responsive to our suggestions regarding design and layout. He was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to emails which was greatly appreciated. He kept us updated on the timeline for when our deck would be built as we chose to start in spring. The team was on time and kept our yard tidy each day. The attention to detail is spectacular and we can't wait to use the deck for years to come! Would highly recommend Geoff and his team.
