Ryan was courteous, professional, and thorough. Being first-time home-owners, we were worried that the inspection was going to be the toughest part of the process and most likely to derail the whole deal (due to bad news). Ryan was great, covered everything with us, and made us feel confident in our purchase as we went over things from top to bottom together. Wow Ryan is very good at his job. Me and my Fiancé are both young first time hombuyers and we absolutely dont know anything about fixing things. He showed us every single things he found even to the smallest problems on the house and we were able to renegotiate with the seller about the problem he found. Gave us so many tips and advice how to fix things and how to avoid future problems. He provided us a detailed printed report as well. Will recommend and will hire him again in the future. From personal experience, we know Ryan is unmoved by realtors or sellers who try to justify a lack of maintenance or try to coverup deficiencies. The home inspection report’s 'Executive Summary' provided us with a list of property deficiencies that we used to help us renegotiate the best possible purchase price for us. A brilliant strategy in helping us get thousands off.In the end, CheckHouse Home Inspections helped us understand the condition of the home we were considering purchasing and Ryan provided great insight of what were significant deficiencies, inside and outside, as well as repair costs and what we could possibly repair ourselves.We would definitely hire Ryan again to perform our next home inspection and we often recommend him to family and friends.

It has taken me a few years to write this review. We used Ryan's services for a commercial inspection. The inspection was not thorough, many areas were missed, often because he didn't have the appropriate equipment with him. Luckily my husband was there and pointed out a few major areas that he had missed. The inspection was over priced and I never received a receipt or a report. I hounded him repeatedly for a report and when I finally received it (roughly 6 months after I had MOVED INTO THE BUILDING) it was rife with spelling errors and was a very unprofessional document when I compare it to previous home inspection documents that I have received. I was motivated to write this review after I have heard of numerous other bad experiences with Ryan's services. I do not recommend this company.

Ryan was great! Ive had three other home inspectors and he went into the most detail and was the easiest to work with. I wasn't even in the city when he went through the house and when I finally got the keys, he came by and went over everything.Definitely would recommend and use Ryan again.

Overall the experience of working with CheckHouse was underwhelming. The job was done, but there were areas that needed work and we had to remind Ryan to include aspects of the inspection that he mentioned to us verbally, but did not include in the report.His website says that the report will be done within 24 hours, in our case - that was not done and caused us some delays in the negotiating process.We're left with the feeling that the job was done, but not with too much extra effort.

We have used Ryan for several Home inspections as part of sale conditions. He is very thorough, professional and provides detailed and documented findings with pictures, including recommendations.I prefer to use an independent Home Inspector who works for the purchurser and those who paid for his service, as apposed to a Home Inspector recommend by a realtor where biases may come into play to help make a sale. I know to expect unbiased findings from Ryan and for this reason I highly recommend his services. We plan to use CheckHouse again and again. I offen do not write reviews but this I feel was warranted.
