I recently purchased a Hiro Scooter and I am extremely satisfied with their service. They were incredibly responsive and helpful, even going above and beyond to assist me over the weekend. The current sale they have on is fantastic and I'm pleased to see that they are philanthropic, supporting children's charities. In particular, I appreciated the outstanding customer service provided by Hugo. He was always available to answer my questions and was committed to ensuring my experience with Hiro Scooter was a positive one. Overall, I highly recommend Hiro Scooter for anyone in the market for a new ride. Thank you, Hiro Scooter

This company is amazing. Their products are awesome. Customer service and warranty are great! Can get a good quality escooter or ebike for hundreds less because they use reps rather than have store fronts. A large percentage of each purchase goes towards a great cause like one of the many children's hospitals to help sick kids in care. I would and have recommended this company to friends and family. Thank you so much!

Not being familiar with the e-scooter market it was difficult finding the combination of features I wanted. My priorities were:Had to be less than 15 kg since I have bad shoulders/elbows and must carry it through a giant building once I get to work. The Trek weighs 13 kg and I can easily get it in/out of my car, through revolving doors, a crowded elevator ride and stash it in my cubicle with no problems.Breakeven on the e-scooter within 60 to 70 rides (at $11/day for parking). The retail price is $649 on the company site but I received a healthy discount because of a promotion celebrating Hiro's birthday. My breakeven ride count is 50. Discount or not, $649 was still a very competitive price for the quality/features of the Trek.I wanted disc brakes, a brake line than ran inside the post, brake lights, a folding mechanism that was quick to use but wouldn't drop the handlebars on my head, a kickstand and solid construction. The disc brakes are effective and responsive without being overly aggressive or causing lurching. The brake line runs inside the post which avoids sore fingers. Through all the maneuvering in my workplace my fingers don’t hurt.Brake lights act as a running light until the brakes are activated then they flash to indicate braking. Good for visibility and helping motorists figure out what you're doing. There's also a front light which is ideal for increasing your visibility to motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. The folding mechanism securely locks the post in the upright position and is easy to engage/disengage. The Trek has an offset mechanism for fastening the folded post to the rear fender. It looks a little weird folding the post down to one side rather than the middle but as strange as it looks it works perfectly. Most importantly, when folding the Trek, the post doesn’t fall on my head. The kickstand holds the scooter upright on every surface I’ve encountered so far. What impressed me the most about the Trek is how solid it is. Considering it only weighs 13kg it feels heavy-duty, solid, and very well built. On the topic of Speed/Power/Battery Life, these weren't and aren't major considerations for me because I only use the Trek to travel about 1.5 to 2 km and I ride on a shared use path scarred by tree roots, dips, and cracks. While the Trek easily hits 25 km/h (its max) I don't feel the need to hit those speeds. The Trek's 300W motor can't maintain or reach full speed carrying me up an incline though. Not a problem for my regular commute but important to note if you plan to ride hills. Uphill the Trek averages about 13 km/h which isn't all that bad considering I weigh 87 kg and I'm used to cruising around at ~15 km/h.The battery meter has 5 bars. Five commutes in 30+ Celsius weather (~10 km) only just touched the 3rd bar. I haven't tested how far the Trek can go on a full charge because I'm not a long-distance rider. For my use case and the overall weight, the battery life and charge time is perfect. The Trek has suspension on the rear tire but not the front. This isn't a problem for me despite the rough path I ride because I absorb the dips, cracks, and ridges with my body. I ride a hardtail bike for the same reasons I like the half-suspension on the Trek. I like to feel the road and adjust my speed accordingly.Nitpicks:Out of the box the Trek's disc brake was rubbing. The user manual has a section for troubleshooting the disc brakes but unfortunately the images used in the manual are small, appear to be highly compressed and are very hard to see. I went online and found some helpful videos for adjusting the disc brakes. The tool bundle didn’t include all Allen wrench/hex key sizes needed to tighten all the fasteners on the Trek.Automatic cruise-control that kicks in after five seconds of being at the same level of acceleration. Engaging the brakes or adjusting the throttle disengages it. This is arguably a good feature but in my use case it's not great because of the uneven and irregular terrain. Thanks to the BC sales rep for the positive experience!
