Even though the restoration work for a water leak in my home was not that extensive everyone at Barclay from the office, drywall and cleaning staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating. I am very pleased with the work done.

Our home was flooded by a leaking toilet. Barclay was recommended by our insurance company to assess and repair the damage. I was impressed by the professionalism of the Barclay team and how quickly they took action on preparing a quote and assigning employees to repair the damages. The individual who was assigned to repair drywall and paint did an amazing job. The preparation he put into ensuring the repair area was secured from other areas of our how was impressive. He did not take any short cuts which we appreciated.

These reviews are mostly fake by the workers and their families. If you have an insurance claim, always take the payout. They will try all sorts of tactics, they’ll tell you what they do vs what your options are. They’ll start moving and packing your stuff, they’ll trespass and when you move back they’ll misplace your items into other units. My building currently has a notice in the lobby from someone saying they have another units items. They’ll start work without your permission so you then can’t say no because they’ve “already started”. They’ll rush through cutting any corner you can think of, most of the workers are over stretched hence the poor craftsmanship. Project timeline, out of unit for 8 months, 1 month flood damage control, 4 months strata taking “bids”, 1 month reno floors, fireplace, drywall, 2 weeks lost to snow, 2 weeks lost due to holiday, 2 weeks rushing to anything else. 2 weeks fixing work Garbage work. RUN!

Not only do I work in the industry, but I had the misfortune of having to deal with a drain backup that flooded my entire crawlspace. Barclay attended quickly to start mitigating the damage and worked overtime as needed to extract all the water, setup drying equipment and carried on efficiently and quickly through the entire project. I had a great experience with all staff, including the content staff who had to pack out a lot of content in my 5' crawlspace which was a very hard job. Happy, hardworking staff, great communication and efficient service. I would recommend to anyone!

We encountered a water pipe burst in November 2022 that affected many units in the condo and our strata hired Barclay Restorations to follow up with the damages. Recently, our concierge manager messaged us saying that Barclay forgot about our unit in their plans...My honest review to everyone looking to do business with Barclay. If you care about your home and prefer to have your property fixed in a reasonable time frame, then DO NOT do business with them. They may potentially forget about you, for whatever reason or simply a lack of competency.

Initially we were worried about dealing with a restoration contractor and insurance but the Barclay people and services went above and beyond every time we had contact with them. The employees were friendly and fun to have around. We were very pleased and completely satisfied with our results.
