Best vets we have ever come across

I have been taking my Cane Corso here since I had moved to Sundre and still have continued too since I moved to Olds because I have never had any issues with them. I initally started to raw feed my girl at puppy age and lots of vets would go against me and say it was the worst decision but would also say she is perfectly healthy and had an amazing coat and teeth. The vets here didn't even bat an eye at me raw feeding her and didn't judge my decision on it along with my decision to not spay her till after she was two. They supported me and helped me with her and welcomed her so well, it became an exciting place for her to go rather then scary. I got her spayed here as well and when I was worried about swelling and called in they were able to help me via email (as i sent pictures of the swelling) and they gave me advice but also welcomed me to have her checked out as well and given antibiotics if I felt the need. We ended up taking the advice first and trying the ice pack and it worked amazingly and saved me a trip to sundre that day. Her stitches are all healed and she's back to her happy hyper self and the scar is very minimal and doesn't look like a crazy hack job. I'm beyond happy to have found this clinic and am grateful for their love and care. Thank you guys so much from Roxy and I.

I moved to Sundre in the Spring of 2022. I was on AB Works as my sole income so I had a very limited income when accessing support for my dog who was diagnosed with cancer in his mouth. The first appointment went well enough however thereafter dealing with the front end manager was nothing short of a nightmare while grieving the inevitable loss of my best friend. The front end person stating such things as, I will handle this one"

These guys are absolutely amazing, great people, great prices. Been there twice for emergencies and they helped us. Can't say enough good things about pioneer

Ouch on the wallet. Unnecessary procedures. Rather unpleasant experience. Missed diabetes diagnostic on my dog who eventually died of acidosis a few days after visit... Used to love the place when the South African vets were attending the doggy owners.

My dog took a tumble on Saturday morning while we were in Olds visiting my in laws. Dex seemed ok but as the day went on was getting worse. About 430 it was clear that he needed some vet care, even if just for pain killers. His foot had become slightly swollen and was developing a limp. We phoned the clinic at 445 to see what time they closed and if they could see Dex. The clinic informed us that they close at 5 but that they would wait for us.We drove the 20 mins into the clinic and were greeted by very friendly staff. They seemed very concerned about dexter and did inform us another emergency had come in but wanted to make dexter as comfy as possible. I explained that he isn’t very dog friendly so might be better in a room. They got him right in and again apologized for what could be a bit of a wait.When the vet came in (Louisa) she was extremely friendly and caring. She made sure to get as much info as she could (since Dex isn’t their regular client). And asked if it would be alright to bring dexter to the back to do a thorough exam. She let us know that dexter had some swelling but was not in pain when she examined him. She gave us some options and prescribed some anti inflammatory/pain killers which really helped dexter through the night.Upon checkout she even filled out my pet insurance form so I could get it right in to the pet company. I couldn’t get over the reasonable price and friendliness of the staff. The only place I’ve ever felt like my dog has truly had 100% attention has been our regular clinic. But I felt that even though dexter isn’t a regular client they still really cared about his wellbeing. I could hear Louisa talking to him in the back and keeping him calm and telling him what a good boy he was. It was really sweet.Dexter is doing much better today. He woke up and seemed to be walking better. Of course when he went out first thing in the morning he took off running and ended up making it a little bit worse again (still way better then Saturday). He seems to be on his way to recovery. We will be touching base with our regular vet sometime later next week just to get a recheck to make sure he is healing well.I would 100% recommend this clinic!Thanks so much!

I have a sick dog, she will be sick her whole life. We make a lot of regular and emergency trips to the vet. I am so glad that I chose Pioneer veterinary services. I have had amazing service, with very reasonable prices. Because of the emergency trips, and vacations, we have worked with three different vets, and they are all good. The entire staff is caring, and are starting to feel like family. They all call my dog by name when she comes in. The desk staff go out of their way to make my day better. The vet techs are both compassionate and professional.

Whether it's caring for my various (and numerous!) dogs or horses over the past 10 years, the staff at Pioneer Vet have always been courteous, helpful and reliable. They always do their utmost for the health of my animals and I am so grateful for their diligent work and compassionate care.
