Stay away from this Doctor !!! I have arrhythmia and was in A-fib. I needed cardioversion. Where to begin… I guess when his staff called me 3 times to book my first consultation should have been a red flag. The first person called me and set a time and date. Then another person called to book me again. I said I was booked already, and they said I was not. Then they called a 3rd time, again insisting I was not booked, but finally after rechecking found that I was booked. Dr. Ashwani’s office on Finch was more like a walk-in clinic than a cardiologist’s office, small and disorganized. Next on the day of my procedure he was close to 2 hours late. The hospital had me prepped and ready but could not get a hold of Dr. Choudhry. An anesthesiologist, a camera technician, and 2 nurses were waiting for him. After waiting 45 minutes, and numerous calls and pages to Dr. Choudhry they said to me and my wife that the procedure would need to be rescheduled. My wife and I had booked 2 days from work for recovery, I was hooked up to 2 cardio machines with IV, and had 4 highly skilled people waiting and they were going to cancel the procedure. The anesthesiologist dumped all his chemicals and left, the camera technician left, and just when they were about to pull my IV Dr. Choudhry called and said he would be there in 30 minutes. Over an hour pass before he arrived. He was winded and had no gown. All the hospital staff was not impressed by his actions. He said to me that he went to the wrong place, my wife told me he said to her that the hospital had not confirm the procedure. One way or another he was lying to us. He was not apologetic to the other doctor or the staff. But for my sake and their professionalism they helped him setup and get ready. I needed a transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) before my procedure. Basically an echo camera maneuvered down my throat. It is not a nice thing in the first place but this doctor made it feel like torture. I was finally knocked out and both procedures were done in 45 minutes. When I woke up my heart was back to normal but my doctor was nowhere to be found. They again called and paged the doctor but he had left. Another doctor had to sign for my release. My throat is a mess, I can barely swallow. Dr. Ashwini Choudhry in my opinion (and the staff) acted very unprofessionally.

Went in for an ECG and came out with ringworms. Thing is that I had no ringworms before I went to this place and that is the only place where I took my shirt off in order to do the ECG. Later on in the evening when I changed to put my PJs on I had 2 ringworms in the exact spots where they applied the sticky pads of the ECG. The only thing I can think of is either they reuse these sticky pads over and over or they do not disinfect the examination tables. Also they make you go back an forth unnecessarily many times (I guess it is to bill OHIP as much as they can). When they get your bloodwork they won’t even call you to let you know when there is something wrong. Doctors like these should NOT practice medicine.

I thought I was going to be leaving a 5 star review. I was pretty impressed that they took me in quickly as a walk in with heart issues I was having. They listened to me, did an ecg, shown as sinus bradycardia and even the report says that (52 bpm) and I showed them data for 3 months of my heart rate getting lower and lower and that my watch was now waking me up as I was going into the 30s while sleeping. I have been ill since October, I am not fit. They gave me a halter to wear for 3 full days. During that time I went to emergency and they were going to give me an emergency appt to a cardiologist (I thought I was there because of my IDA but I declined b/c I was wearing a halter from them.It is now Apr 6th. I was in a month ago yesterday and THEY HAVE NOT CALLED BACK. I left a message last week, asked politely for a call, nothing. Today, called and LAM, told them I was have further issues and needed a call. NOTHING.DO NOT GO TO THIS WIFE AND HUSBAND TEAM. They have wasted my time and my health. Now I need to find another cardiologist (could've already seen the ER one and be on my way to figuring out what is wrong) and waste valuable time.

This place has no respect for people’s time. Schedule your patients for the actual time you want them to come in

Dr Aswani Choudhry is an amazing cardiologist. While I accidentally turned up at his door without a referral he took me in nevertheless as his patient, treated me on priority given my condition and has been guiding me since then with prompt referrals and follow ups. If I’m heart healthy today, all credit goes to Dr Choudhry alone. I am very glad to have found this cardiac care facility.
