About the Business
McDonald Park | City of Kamloops | Dog friendly (on leash) Located on the North Shore, this neighbourhood park features a small bandshell and hosts their own limited 'Music in the Park' entertainment throughout the summer. There is a water spray park for the kids (seasonal*), washrooms, and a fresh water fountain. Bring a lunch and enjoy an afternoon in one of the city's oldest and grandest parks. *Season starts June 1 and ends Labour Day, weather depending. With extended periods of warm weather, the season may be extended in the spring or fall. Pickleball courts open April 1.

Great place to take little ones to play. Have smaller play area for toddlers and baby swings and splash park. Has a dog park ans toilets. Just be mindful that sometimes you can see homeless people or drug users around so please check equipment for drug paraphernalia.

this is where i enjoy being outside and in a park. sufficiently quiet and not ridiculously over-run like riverside. there's a community garden nearby. one time i didn't realize the park closed at 10, and the police showed up. they were polite to us once they realized i was a polite and well spoken middle class white girl.....

Art sale in the park every Sunday. Great place to play basketball or pickleball. Has a water park & great play ground.

Dog park and play grounds. Public washrooms. Everything is well kept and safe . Security also keeps an eye out.

A beautiful day today. Took the kids for a splash in the splash park. Macdonald Park is large. There is open green space, a dog park, tennis courts, swings, basketball courts, a very accessible playground, a nice gazebo, a plaza. There plenty of tables and benches and washrooms too. There is a lot a nice murals as well. Definitely a gem on the Northshore of Kamloops.

We had a wonderful event two weeks ago. The weather was fabulous and the turnout was great. The Kidney Foundation had their yearly Kidney Walk. We enjoyed a pancake breakfast, many volunteers and fundraising tables. Kids loved the spray park and fun was had by all! Thank you McDonald Park!

Calm nice place to relax. Has a spray area for kids to play with water. Has a basketball court for leisure.
