We drove from Calgary to enjoy a sunny day at Memorial Park down the block. The owner suggested the Loaded" Vermicelli Bowl because it would be easy to eat for our outdoor picnic. We loved the food and added the Chicken Salad rolls and Dumplings! Our adventure to Carstairs was fun and we'll return soon for the amazing friendly service and yummy food! I have to start off by saying, the owner here has got to be one of the nicest human beings I've ever met. He's so welcoming, makes everyone feel like family. He talks to everyone like an old friend. I'm pretty sure the whole town feels the same! Foods amazing too, my family probably orders from here once a week. Its my new favorite spot for pork subs too!

I kept hearing about this friendly little place with filling, made-to-order food. The owners, Don and Kim, remember each customer and even more amazing, their previous orders! I had been just once, then called a week later to pre-order over the phone. Don knew what I had had, without any prompting, right down to the need to be gluten-free.This small-town eatery serves breakfast all-day, burgers and Asian dishes.I've just had the vermicelli bowl and salad rolls both times. My partner has had the loaded vermicelli bowl for years, it is so good that he hasn't even tried anything else.The prices are great for the amount of food and its freshness.You aren't going to return for the decor, but you will for the eats and the glimpse into authentic small-town life. :-)

Great food! And also the only restaurant open Monday. Super friendly gentleman serving who was just given'er the whole time! We got the dinner for 3, which fed 3 of us perfectly. The ginger beef was awesome, my Grama could not get enough.

Don is a great guy! Him and his wife run the country kitchen. My wife and I really enjoy his Chinese food, and actually like it more then the majority of the food around carstairs and olds. Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Ordered 1st a few weeks ago for pick up.they were supposed to call when it was ready. No call came, so I went to pick it up. It was still sitting in the window waiting for pickan HOUR Later! They had to remake for me as I waited.

Food is SO good. You just have to plan ahead since it is always a fairly long wait. Plan for a 45 min wait for sure
