It was great experience in Sprott Shaw Trade School. I’ve learned a lot for improve my career. I gained confidence to be electrician. Highly recommended learning an Electrical Foundation course. Friendly staff and instructors. Especially, I met great teacher(Julian). He has a lot of experiences and a method of teaching considering the level of students.

I recently finished the electrical foundation program in sprott shaw. I am very satisfied with my experience here. My instructor Julian taught us a lot and answered patiently every question we had. He really made a lot efforts to guide us to be a better electrician, not only in the academic way, but also in a professional way. If you are thinking of joining electrical foundation program, i will definitely recommend him.

More expensive than any other school and less resources than any other school. Probably the worst choice you can make. I’m currently taking 3rd year and we (the students) basically taught ourselves the code section. We lost an entire day of learning because the school wanted marketing pictures, so we were forced to pose in the lab while their camera guy took footage of us. Their one teacher, Ryan, is a sexist douchebag that treats women like they’re stupid and unimportant. They teach from the ITA assigned textbooks with no extra worksheets or resources provided yet charge $2000 more for tuition than BCIT, which gives countless extra worksheets and online resources. The only reason I’m at this school is because it’s a 2 year wait for 3rd year anywhere else and I have almost all my apprentice hours. So if you have money and friends that can help you learn, the only benefit of Sprott Shaw is they have seats cuz no one else wants to waste their money.

I took my level 1 electrical at Sprott Shaw School of Trades and it was wonderful. The staff and teachers are extremely helpful and truly care about your future.I didn't finish my course and took a year off and when I inquired about coming back to finish they were very accommodating. I got 1 on 1 time with a teacher to review the course, and I got to join another level 1 class in the shop for a week. All of my experiences with Sprott Shaw School of Trades have been wonderful and I also became employed right after finishing the course. I would definitely recommend this school.

I was attending school here, had a car accident and could not make it to class. The school had online learning set up so I did make an effort to continue schooling. However the instructor told me I needed to come to class after a few days of online classes as he will not be accepting of online anymore. I went into class in pain and left in tears. Other class mates were granted online access. I attempted multiple times to reach out to the school for a resolution. It took a month for them to finally respond telling me to drop out. When I went through the process of medically withdrawing and missing another month of class they finally tried to work with me in returning to class. Throughout the time I did attend the school nothing was organized, start dates and test dates constantly changing. Textbooks with miss information that had not been updated to code.

Took the electrical foundations program at Sprott Shaw, would say it was 8/10. Teacher I had was brand new but he was good and you can tell he really tried to help us out and be friends with the students. Overall it is a pretty decent school

I did my Electrical Foundations from Sprott Shaw trades this April 2019. Its a great school and very accommodating. The staff is very helpful. They help you with job placement. Every one in class got a job during the end of the course. Good thing is the classes are small so its very comfortable environment, therefore, I have decided to continue my next levels at Sprott-Shaw. I will recommend this school to anyone. Thanks - GP
