Very good Greek restaurant but was a bit disappointed since they didn’t have any Greek imported beer and they didn’t have the octopus in the menu anymore. The food and service was good nonetheless.

Good flavors and huge servings. Wife and I could have shared meal and left full. Moussaka had very refined.flavor. Calamari was juicy and tender. Vegetarian appetizer plate had very flavorful assortment of sauces. Service was attentive and pleasant.

Awesome service. The waiter gave us the time to have cocktails and chat amongst friends without rushing us to eat quickly and leave. Food has very healthy portions with great flavors!

First time eating at Yia Sou and experience was top notch. Firstly, the staff was friendly, polite, and very attentive to our needs. We were a group of 10 and this is not always easy on waiters/waitresses. The food came very quickly, was fresh, very tasty and cooked perfectly. The portions are generous. I love that they offer mixed platters for sharing - this allows one to try different meats/fish in one sitting (see pic). Since we ordered appetizers to share, and the fact that most plates come with rice and potatoes as well as a choice of soup or salad (the salad is a separate plate and a meal in itself!) we had leftovers to take home. We also had a vegan person in our group and they modified their pita dish to accommodate. It was huge, overflowing with grilled veggies and apparently delicious (see pic) The decor is pretty too … the ‘tree’ made for a cute backdrop for pictures. The one suggestion I might make is to invest in tablecloths as it would definitely add a little ‘something’ extra to the look/class of the restaurant. I definitely recommend a visit! Thank you all for contributing to a lovely evening with my family.

Huge portions of great food. I got their 2 gyro pita plate (24$), which came with fries, rice, tzatziki and a choice of soup or salad. They give complementary pita and butter before your meal. Their pita is so soft and chewy; really the best pita I've ever had! Service is quick and friendly. They have a pleasant outdoor terrace for warm days. The menu is extensive and authentic. There are also many vegetarian options. There is a selection of delicious desserts as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I received 2 pork pitas overloaded with an extreme amount of taziki and I received them cold. The pork was chewy and full of connective tissue. It was horrendous. The fries were potatoes wedges with no flavor. Worse experience and a waste of money. Online they said 15.99$ but when I called they said 18$

The food was okay but not much flavor. The only good tasty thing was the salad. The potatoes are the basic ones u could buy frozen and the meat had no taste of any seasoning. It was my first time there but wont be my place to go. I had far better Greek food elsewhere.

For anyone who likes Greek food, I highly recommend this place for lunch. They have a linch special menu which includes a main dish, soup or salad, and a basket of bread. The bread was warm and soft when it arrived making me think it was recently baked. The soup I got was the best lentil soup I ever had because each individual lentil was fully cooked and soft without leaving hardened bits on my teeth. I got the authentic gyro plate in a pita and it was delicious. The meat was very tender in a soft pita, the fries were perfectly cooked with just enough crispyness. And the price is very reasonable for a meal that will fill you up. For my plate, it was about $16 including tax and tip. I have not tried coming here outside of lunch so I do not know how the price is at that time.

On Queen Mary on the west side of Decarie, nestled between an assorted of other shops and restaurants is YIA SOU and fairly large size traditional Greek cuisine establishment. The single sheet menu is expansive (if not even a bit confusing with all the options) prepared and served in the classic Montreal size: rice, well season roasted potatoes, salad (multiple options) and large sized portions (unless you are a big eater be prepared for some take away).Overall service is friendly and on point. The ambiance is bright and airy and, if crowded, may be a bit loud but this is a very good option for large family dinners with kids...good food, lots of space and affordable. Enjoy!
