We had such an amazing experience with Melissa. We booked her for a newborn shoot and she was very accommodating with the very late arrival of our little guy. She made us feel very comfortable during the session and was very friendly. We were shocked with how quickly and how many photos we received back from the session.

Melissa was so amazing for our newborn shoot. She was creative with the places we took the photos in our house and we were so impressed with how they turned out. Mel (Owner of Sugar and Soul Photography) shot our wedding 4 years ago. I’ve only recently finally printed some photos and had albums made and It had me reflecting on how truly amazing she was/is to have as a photographer.It honestly never really crossed my mind just how much is entrusted in your wedding photographer because I never really needed to think about it. From our first encounter until this day Mel has always just exuded professionalism while also offering such comfort as a resource and teammate on your wedding day. I implicitly trusted her and her expertise that she would capture the emotion of the day while also taking care to grab those special candid moments and that’s exactly what she did.Recently I’ve seen some real horror stories of couple-photographer relationships gone bad and I can imagine it’s devastating to worry about how your photos will turn out due to a strained relationship or how to express you’re unhappy with the final product.You’ll never have to worry about that with Mel. She’s really the best in the business. As a planner, type A person I had every detail of my wedding researched and scheduled. I weighed the pros and cons of going with each individual vendor I selected knowing I wanted our day to be as easy and seemless as possible. Mel was my first vendor booked and I based every decision afterward around knowing she was our photographer.Can’t say enough good things. 10000/10

You get what you pay for!Melissa from Sugar & Soul Photography was an absolute DREAM to work with from start to finish (and then some!). She is detailed, professional and SO TALENTED. She knew exactly what I was looking for (even only giving her a few descriptive words of my overall wedding vision board) and provided the most amazing and breathtakingly beautiful photos that I will have as a keepsake forever. MONEY. WELL. SPENT and would HIGHLY recommend!!

I cannot say enough good things about Sugar and Soul Photography. Melissa made every effort to make sure our wedding went smoothly (even our timelines). On the day she made us feel at ease. Despite being camera shy type of people, she helped us have so much fun with the photos!We got our photos back VERY quickly during the busiest wedding season!! The editing was beautiful and the shots were amazing! We also couldn’t believe the number of great candid photos of our family and friends. Each and every one is such a treasure. She truly captured the day in an all encompassing way.

Melissa is such an amazing photographer. We are absolutely IN LOVE with our wedding photos. I also have to mention we received them all SO quickly which was such a nice surprise! Melissa also did our engagement shoot last summer (August 2021) and we were so happy with all of our photos from that shoot as well! She made us feel totally at ease for our engagement shoot (we were nervous and didn’t know what to expect for poses, what to do, how to do it) but she is exceptional at capturing great shots and great at giving good direction. She also had great ideas for our weddings photos and made sure my dress and hair always looked perfect! It is so clear that she is so passionate about the work she does. We were running so late for our engagement shoot due to unforeseen circumstances, and I was so worried we wouldn’t get any nice photos due to it being much later than we planned, but she managed to get a beautiful shoot of us in just 30 minutes!
