Good food good prices, only complaint is not taking credit card, if they took it I will come even more often. Recommend the crispy crepe side dish as it's cheap and a nice starter.

Old Friends Kitchen has become the friendliest neighbourhood restaurantwithin the surrounding areas of Metrotown serving delicious unique pan asian fusion blending flavours of korean, taiwanese, northern China influences into their creative dishes.This is such an underrated casual restaurant which deserves your attention! Every time I come here, which I had come several times already since they soft opened, their menu is constantly expanding with newer dishes, weekly specials, and adding more drinks to the menu. The portion is good yet filling, the prices are quite reasonable! The ordering is quite unique and easy because you would order through a QR code with your phone which I highly recommend to see the newly expanded menu!!The service is nice! I've been quite a regular there so the nice gentleman who works during daytime is polite to chat! The food is quite tasty, good flavours, yet plentiful! The space of the restaurant is new & modern offering free WIFI! They take Debit & Visa Card payments!Definitely I look to come back again to see what new things to try out and eat! Give this place a visit, and this could be your new friendly restaurant over at Old Friends Kitchen in the Metrotown area!

Ordered their salt & pepper chicken rice & it doesn’t taste like salt & pepper chicken at all! It’s just bland! It has no flavour! Kiddo wouldn’t even eat it!! They claimed that that’s how they make “salt pepper chicken”. What a disappointment, will never return! Totally not worth the $!

Food was fine. Nothing fancy. Portion was on the slightly smaller size. What ruined my experience was that the waiter messed up our order in the first place but later dared to request an up charge for the mistake we didn’t make. We agreed to pay out of fairness for getting more expensive dishes but alas, no tips after all.

IMO, their very big niche WAS their low pricing! At around $15 per dish, you can't complain, but by adding an average of $3 per dish, there are a lot of other better places to eat and with better deals. (Eg. $18.99 for a 2 peice meat combo with spaghetti/rice along with a drink). Don't get me wrong, even though most of their offering do teaste very, very similar (not an exaggeration), they do taste good. The portions were a bit small, even at $15, but no way acceptable at $19 and without a drink! I honestly don't think we will be back for $19 dishes. Sorry, love you guys, but it's too expensive for us to eat there. Sorry!

Food is yummy. Love their eggplant. Prefect with rice! Waitress is sweet as well.

Tasty and great pricing! Highly recommend for those who like a great tasting, light soup base that isn't too salty or oily. I look forward to trying their other dishes :)

Me and my parents went out to try this restaurant for dinner and I can say that this a hidden gem in Burnaby. We ordered the crispy crepe, the pork cutlet, the salt and pepper chicken with rice, the shiitake mushroom and tofu with rice and the Sichuan style chilli beef with rice. The prices are good, the portions are good and the food was delicious. The service was nice and the atmosphere is pretty good. The only thing is that the cleanliness of the place is not too good. Many flies I saw. But all in all, a very delicious dinner.

It’s my second time over here at Old Friends Kitchen! Finally we get a restaurant in the neighbourhood for all people living in the condos around this area! Welcome! This was a much needed thing! So far the second visit, their menu has expanded than what’s on the little menus they had since inception. They now have an QR code online dining ordering system where you can see the new updated menu as you get seated. You can place your order though there without the need of flagging down a server. Very smart also you get to at-least see your Total bill upon ordering! The food has quite tasty, and it seems resemble more of a Taiwanese style cuisine. Their price is quite reasonable for cheap eats! For all of mine dishes for 1 person came slightly under $20! They also has free fast wifi you wanted to choose this place to work! This is a hidden gem within the Metrotown Mall area and very close to the skytrain station like literally across from it!I think you made new friend to be come back for more at Old Friend’s Kitchen!
