Ecco Shoes

The ECCO store in Kingsway Mall didn’t have the colour dress shoe I wanted and they called the Southgate Mall ECCO to reserve the dress shoe for me there. I arrived to the Southgate Mall ECCO store and they had it set aside for me. I tried on the dress shoe and it fit perfectly. The gentleman who helped me was friendly and very knowledgeable.

My wife and I wanted to buy both of us a pair of Ecco shoes but we didn’t because the manager was very unprofessional while eating his apple without paying attention to our needs. The sales lady following his example didn’t care either. It’s a shame that such a great store has the wrong people representing it.

Went in for some wedding shoes on August 11th, 2022. The gentleman helping me was very professional in helping me find what I needed. Got the comfiest pair of dress shoes I have ever purchased.

shoes were great...but the sales girl was so rude.My 4 year old was touching the shoes, and she got very rude to him. I mean there is a way of dealing with kids. U have no right to directly approach the kid and be rude. We did not say anything to her, but now I think I should have.

Friendly and helpful staff. Love Ecco shoes, so comfortable.

Today Sunday March 12th about noon we had a terrible experience in this location. I wear Ecco shoes likely 200 plus days a year both for my everyday shoes and my golf shoes. In both cases wearing a similar style for many years. Recently I ordered a replacement pair from a competitor store (Camrose)….Now on to today’s experience, upon entering the store the clerk noticed my footwear and said something like “I see you wear that style, they still make them but the woven part is slightly different now” my reply while holding another style I was considering purchasing was “Yes I know these old ones needed replacing so I ordered a pair on line” the blonde clerk then in what both my spouse and I heard her say rather condescendingly was You should have bought from here we are local! And locally owned! (How does she know that the store I ordered from was not local to me? Just because it’s on line does not mean it’s not local) anyways I was kinda taken aback and put down the shoe I was considering and as I was uncomfortable I started to leave but stopped and asked her about Golf shoes as I am looking for a specific pair the USA website has available (black with cleats) anyways I said that the ones in store were not them as I wanted spikes/cleats and once again in a condescending manor “we don’t order those as you can’t wear on our golf courses” I said umm yes you can on every course I play. (which was 104 rounds last season!) she again said no you can’t and at that point I realized my spouse actually had left the store and I said ok to the clerk and I also left the store. Meeting my spouse outside the store he commented at how horrible that experience was and I agreed it was indeed terrible. We started to walk away and he decided he had to express how displeased we were at the clerks treatment of us. She did ask what the problem was and did offer somewhat of an apology, but honestly we were so turned off by the experience once we finished in the food court we decided we were no longer in the mood to shop so we left the mall. Not only did she cost her store a sale, but likely a number of other stores as well.

We had a great experience shopping today at Southgate Mall. My son is Autistic and was having a hard time at one point. The gentleman helping us was great finding hikers and accommodating my son. Was even showing him pictures of his cats on his phone because I told him my son loves cats. 10/10 experience

Really great experience here. The salesman was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I probably wouldn't have bought the shoes if not for him, because I was just there to look. Although the shoes have been excellent. Ecco is exceptionally great quality. They are a European company and are designed to last a very long time and fit ergonomically. Probably my favourite shoe company for both dress and casual.

Had an amazing experience with Tim. He was very knowledgeful and helpful when it came to finding the right shoe that would fit my flat feet/wide orthotics. If you are looking a place to shop for new pair of dress shoes, the service here was phenomal!
