This review is not specific to the location, this is for Avis in general.We will never use Avis again. While on holidays our rental car was hit by another vehicle while in the hotel parking lot. The person who hit my car came to the front desk to report the accident and I got a copy of her insurance and DL number. Avis was great on the phone while I reported the claim, and sent us a new vehicle right away. When we returned the car at the airport and filled out the damage claim. The agent at the Avis Counter took down the insurance information from the driver that hit us and we signed the claim and thought we were done with it. 7 weeks after we returned our vehicle I got charged $438.00 dollars on my MC from Avis, I called Avis and was told they saw that the charge was charged by Avis but could not tell me hwy. I opened a claim with Avis and called MC to notify them. MC opened a claim and told they would deal with it. About 6 weeks later I got a refund for the charge. I still have no idea why I was charged and Avis couldn't tell me either. At this point I thought everything was taken care of.Yesterday (6 months after the car was returned) we get a call from the damage claims recovery department, (not sure if this is part of Avis or a contracted company). They were demanding I pay just over 3K for the damages to the car. We booked the car through the company I work for because they have an exclusive deal with Avis and we get the extra no fault coverage as part of that agreement (confirmed by the head of my companies travel department). When I explained that to the representative from Avis I was told they have no idea what the agreement was and suggested I get my company to call the corporate representative at Avis to straighten it out. The claim form that the Avis agent filled out was incomplete. He took the other drivers license, address and insurance policy number but did not write down the insurance companies name. The writing is so bad that the phone number he wrote down is unreadable. The agent I spoke with in Claims recovery said the number on the form was the wrong one. I phoned and it is in fact the wrong number. The agent I spoke with said that's not Avis' responsibility and I am liable for the damagesIn short Avis made the mistake and now claims that they are not responsible for the mistake their employee made while filling out the form. I have managed to track down the correct contact information for the person who hit our car and also their FB page, and sent all this information the the Avis agent from the claims department. Not sure what the outcome is yet but I definitely know that I will never rent from Avis again.
