Instead of replacing humans with robots they trained humans to behave like robots, except robots without the necessary information. Try and get a yes or no answer, they will avoid giving you any actual advice just vague suggestions and rereading of a script.

I have had to call CRA a couple of times since my husband died in March. The various people I talked to were extremely helpful and compassionate. They not only handled my concerns and questions with efficiency but an agent actually called me back with information I required. This is a very stressful job these employees hold with all the complaints and stress of clients they have to deal with on a daily basis. Thank you so much CRA employees for your help in my stressful time.

I requested a T1 Adjustment Request (T1AR") for the 2017 taxation year on April 5

I would give lower than 1 star if I could. While people are polite on the phone, they have made errors in their decisions to disallow legal claims and it is now affecting the third year of assessment that should be returns and not payment, with no response in the past 5 months, and now three years behind for resolution from 2017.

Very, very poor service - wish I could give less than one star. Very long wait on the phone and then you are often are told at the end of this waste of time, that the voicemail is full or they are not taking more calls or that there is a technical difficulty. If this was a private agency, they would be out of business. Huge costly decisions are made against you with no consultation and when you actually get someone on the phone after the very long wait, you get someone who says they know no more than you do or offers to read (word by word) the information posted online that you have already accessed. No explanation or help. Absolutely disgraceful. Embarrassingly this is what our tax dollars fund. Wish I knew how to address it but there is no accessible accountability.

I drove to the agency on Stapon road today. Actually it took several tries to find how to get in as there is no parking for other than employees. Then I saw that they do not accept walk ins and this had been my final hope to get an answer on how to amend my filed return. Well two employees who were just going in to work stopped and asked if they could help me. They were so kind and caring and the one told me how to do it online.I’ll always remember the kindness of those employees. One helped me find parking and one helped me to successfully amend my file.Thank you, you know who you are!

As a tax preparer, I find dealing with CRA to be fine, most of the time. As long as you don't expect, say an auditor to know everything. The ones I have dealt with were not very knowledgeable. If you remain calm (hard to do sometimes) he/she will go to someone who does know and things will get resolved. I would like a faster way to resolve issues.

Horrible place to work. 10 years ago they tricked me into resigning after falsely accusing me of having a medical condition I did not have and refusing me access to the workplace. One of the things in the employee file indicated protect us" supposedly from me although there was no reason to fear me.They would not tell me what the problem was

It is a ballshit organization! Always transfer to call no one to solve problem. They come first when they need to get money from you. They run away first when they need to give you the money!

Did not want to make this phone call, cause I figured it was going to be a taxing experience. Got a man named Richard who sounded tired and over worked, oh joys! After listening to me and telling me I had contacted the wrong department (call center robot didn't even give me the right options), Richard decided to help me figure out what was going on. He was helpful, and I calmed down quickly.
