Westside Stories

West Side Stories is an excellent book store that has quality items in it. The people who run the store are very knowledgeable and very helpful in regards to books. Pricing is fair in there. They are definitely following covid-19 guidelines and the store is very clean. It is also very organized and I had no trouble finding what I wanted in there. They also carry an interesting selection of rare books I highly recommend this store

This is a wonderful used bookstore; I stop by regularly and always find something.There is much more inside than you would guess from the size of the exterior ! There are books everywhere (as there should be) but everything is extremely well-organized: history, psychology, religion, philosophy, classic literature, biography, literary fiction, gender studies, black literature, world literature, anthologies, poetry and more, all have their sections, and there is always a good turnover. Don't miss the downstairs -- there is a huge collection of science ficton and fantasy, including classic, pulp, retro, plus occult, crime fiction, classic Penguins, young adult lit and more.

Been in a couple times to pick up a few books. Everyone in there is so kind and helpful. Do yourself a favour and come in here to get your next book(s)!

It seemed like a great book store but I didn't make it past the entrance way before they told me to wear a mask. The owners seemed more than happy to kick me out when I declined. They explained, as an independent store, they can do what they want. Completely backwards thinking. If you enjoy a cool bookstore and have high tolerance for ignorance, this place is worth the trip.Aug 13, 2022

Lovely little shop with a fantastic library of all sorts of in Westdale area. Honest values, and they also offer appraisal.

Great selection of books and more organized than a lot of second hand book stores (most are even alphabetical, which is a feat considering the amount). Prices are very reasonable and the inventory seems to rotate pretty often so you'll always find something

Great selection, especially of old science fiction, good prices and very friendly staff, but i am tempted to deduct half a star because it's always so darn hot in the store... just kidding. I genuinely love this store and will continue popping in whenever I have an extra $20 or so, because I doubt I'll ever have any trouble finding a few books to grab.

Awesome used books store. I collect paperbacks by a number of authors in a variety of genres. I am always able to find something I want here. A truly great shop run by a friendly, knowledgeable couple who pay attention to their customer's preferences and have their shelves well organized.

Hamilton has experienced a renaissance in quality used book stores. Westside is one of the flagship stores. Formerly the Bookworm, Westside Stories has a wonderful atmosphere and superb selection. They carry one of the largest selections of genres, authors and types of books in the area. Quality books, reasonable prices and friendly, knowledgeable staff make Westside one of the best bookstores in town. If you are a bibliophile, then Westside Stories in quaint Westdale is a must visit on your book hunting adventures.
