Its a shame that you have to press on at least one star to leave a review because I would give them a 0/5 if I could. AVOID applying to this pathetic excuse of a university at all costs. The administration is a joke with absolutely NO concern whatsoever for the students, meanwhile they are busy broadcasting this institution as something they are not: progressive and student-friendly. Especially as an international student, getting a response from the registrations team is a horror show, with more than 4-5 month delay on any form of request. They are more than happy to aid in fees submission with prompt responses under a couple of hours, but the moment you need the money back from this institute, they take weeks—heck--even months to get back to you. I truly feel sorry for other students who have had to suffer under the incompetence and dismissive nature of their administration. And for those browsing through your options, trust me, you are better off anywhere but here. Cheers.

One of the best institution of learning in Canada. It's a place to consider when obtaining a new degree or stepping upper comes into you mind

I recently completed my program at York University and wanted to share my experience for the benefit of other students. While there were some positive aspects, there were also significant areas for improvement that affected my overall satisfaction. One of the main concerns I encountered was the limited support in securing placements. Job postings provided by the program were scarce and often received after I had already applied independently. The ratio of job postings to the number of applications was highly disproportionate, making it challenging to find suitable opportunities.Additionally, the support from the assigned co-op advisor, was not as comprehensive as expected. Weekly meetings were set up, but I found them lacking in value and guidance for navigating the job market effectively. It was disappointing to receive minimal assistance and personalized support throughout the co-op search process. As an international student, the financial investment in the co-op program was substantial. However, the 50% refund policy for students who did not secure placements felt disproportionate to the challenges faced. It is important for the university to consider the financial implications and provide a fair resolution, especially when the support services did not meet expectations.Despite these concerns, I must acknowledge that York University has some positive aspects, such as the academic programs and campus facilities. However, improvements are needed in the co-op program to ensure students receive adequate support, timely job postings, and personalized guidance.I hope that my review sheds light on the experiences within the co-op program at York University. It is my sincere wish that the university takes these feedback points constructively and works towards enhancing the co-op program's effectiveness and support for future students. Please note: This review is based on my personal experience, and other students' experiences may vary.

The admission process was smooth and easy. Everything you need to know before you begin the admission process is on their website so I just did my research, sent my application and in less than 3 weeks I got my admission decision. I couldn't be more happy.

I would like to share my worst experience at this university i have been applied for the international program for 9 months ago, and i have been refused from the embassy from 3 months ago , and i still haven't refunded for the first semester down payment, I've sent all the necessary proofs that they asked for.Bad service, slow service, bad university student services at all .

Worst school I’ve ever been to. Avoid them at all costs. Exorbitant tuition fees, atrocious website(s), awful support when running into issues of any kind. A money-hungry business is all this place is. Even after graduating you will have problems in a multitude of applications.

York University makes discriminatory and misogynistic brain studies to the homeless women. The study is only for women. Absolutely disgusting that you send your students to do the dirty work for you. Like everyone else says in the one star reviews, avoid them and once you hear york university for anything do not waste your time with them. They offered to pay $50 for a 2 hour survey with mind games and $25 for brain test that they refused to explain what was the motive behind it.York University considers homeless women brain damaged or slow. York University assumes that everyone who is homeless is an addict and has mental issues.
