The trail was clear up to woodland falls. Slippery wet snow at Sawblade falls. From there we took sawblade trail, it was decent powder. I recommend snowshoes. To get back we used the Coquitlam south lake view trail. The snow cleared up halfway down. Overall we had a great time.

Beautiful hike through different terrain types. If you're going up to the 'new' coquitlam lake view point, the last little bit is pretty steep, but overall it's a moderate hike. If hiking in the fall be prepared to rock hop over some pretty fast moving creeks.

I love this little walk. I’ve been to this area a few times but somehow never managed to find the trailhead until the 4th time being here. Went on the weekend in the mid day during summer and it wasn’t busy at all. We managed to make the walk longer than it was supposed to be by hiking the surrounding bike trails first then heading to the trail head and going up to the waterfalls.

We didn't mind the shooting sounds and it goes away after the first half anyway. Interesting trail, following trail marks added to the experience as some of them were fading -no worries, you can find the way-. Great view at the top

It is a beautiful hike but it is extremely easy to get turned around. Just a warning if you are going to Crystal falls from here it is extremely easy to get lost. A lot of the trails are not easily seen and there are a lot of bicycle trails that are not suitable for on foot. We probably ended up in here an extra 5 hours trying to get to the falls. Just a heads up.

Burke Mountain is right in my backyard and hard to believe you are close to the city. You will hear the PoCo Hunting and Fishing Club fun range for part of the hike. Always be bear aware especially in berry season. The lower trails are well used by mountain bikers so stay alert. Once you are above the power lines it is less used and trails lead to some great falls. During the spring run off Pritchett Creek will be hard to cross. Trails are well marked but a map or GPS. Great place to bring your dog.

We want to go to woodland falls, however the Google map was wrong. It will lead us to water supple area. You need to park your car at Port Coquitlam & District Hunting & Fishing Club, and start walk from there. Follow the direction you will find this beautiful and quite trail , and walk to the woodland falls

To avoid entering private property, just continue driving up to the Coquitlam Lake View Trailhead. You will see a sign for BC parks on the service road gate. Take the trail to the right of the gate. You will see the Woodland Walk trail marker when you reach the junction. The first part of the trail is cool and shady, perfect for the dogs on a hot day. Lots of fun forest terrain for them to climb and jump over. Be careful of mountain bikes and bears.
