Bark and Meow is one of those pet stores that just feels home-y. It's one of the select places that carries vegan dog kibble, V-planet. The owner is super friendly and always ensures that they sufficient vegan kibble bags for us before we arrive. Highly recommend!

Love the owner. I was gifted some Hemp 4 Paws from here, a natural supplement to help with various ailments like anxiety, arthritis, appetite, ... I so look forward to using this with my senior dog. I had a few questions, and Charles was STELLAR and generous in how he helped. He spoke knowledgeably, he knows his products very well, and gave sound advice. He took the time to give me his full attention, and I was touched that he gave that to me. His professionalism, his love and compassion for animals (incl. senior dogs), was clear and so appreciated. Nice spot to get your companion some healthy treats and food. Always pleasing with their customer service. I a new puppy parent and being vegan myself I wanted to have non-compromised diet for my puppy too. Wide variety of pet supplies available with them. They regularly keep posting about the new stuff on their Instagram channel.

The only place in town where I can get my plant based food, and a great selection at that! Charles is very knowledgeable and helpful. And now, he even has a senior formula plant based food, for both dogs and cats!

This lovely shop quickly became my sole source for my three cats. They have a great selection of high quality pet products that are produced by ethically inclined brands. The staff is very knowledgeable and provides excellent advice. I love this place so much that I continue shopping here since moving to the east end.

Charles is so knowledgeable, he really helped educate me about my frenchie’s allergies. He recommended plant based food which is so much better for your dog. He really cares about animals.Support small business!!

i visited this shop for the first time, not expecting much due to previous stores i’ve visited and them not having a lot going on for cats. i met the owner and their sweet pup otis, the owner was really knowledgeable and took the time to show me what food toppers and additives i could do for my cats.i’ve searched for many flat bowls as my cats experience whisker fatigue and was pleasantly surprised i was able to find one here (they really enjoy the bowl!). i would like to mention the owner’s interest in sustainability as they mentioned their plastic bags are biodegradable and i also witnessed an interaction where they welcomed a customer and remembered what they typically order for their pet. it’s the small things a business can do to show that they care.i left the store with about $50 in supplies and definitely will be back when i run out soon, was a really great experience to be acknowledged like that in a store.
