Extremely clean, thoughtful touches and calming design. We had a very warm welcome and wondeful conversation throughout our stay. Don't forget to get the local tips on food and hikes! Chill on the patio, stargazing, yoga under the sun and ocean breeze!

I stayed at The Nook for 2 weeks and would highly recommend staying here. Jon is the best. He is so kind and accommodating. My stay was so peaceful and relaxing. The bed was literally the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on - it was a cloud. I have had some of the most beautiful sunset in the world over the last two weeks. Thank you, Jon! I can't wait to come back!

Amazing view on the patio! I wasnt expecting to see sunset as it was raining, but magic happened!Jon is super nice and accommodating. Had such an amazing time on the island, will definitely come back next time we visit.

Jonathan went above to assure we had a great stay. We had both upper and lower levels and grateful for the breeze being on top of the ocean, seeing jellyfish, watching the boats come and go from the harbour, walking distance to local restaurants and the sunset from that gorgeous balcony. The decor is top knotch and so cute. Thank you again for all your help and providing such a tranquil place.

My family and I had a wonderful stay in the Seaside Shacks. The RV was clean, well thought out and everything that we needed. Jon was super friendly and gave us many hiking and restaurant recommendations. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone thinking of heading to Cape Breton Island.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Seaside Shack. Beautiful space with nice touches and you can’t beat the oceanside view and sunsets. Location is very convenient, short drive to the Highlands National Park and walking distance to many restaurants. Highly recommended.

My family and I have never been to Cheitcamp and staying at the Seaside Shanty was the prefect place to wrap up our getaway. It was so comfortable and provided everything and more to make our trip memorable.Jon was amazing. He was right there when we needed him for anything, quick responses.We thoroughly enjoyed being in walking distance to everything and having two different levels of decks to choose from. The lower to escape the sun but still wanting to enjoy the outdoors and the top to enjoy the sunset. We hands down would be back and highly recommend it.

Had an awesome stay at Jon's RV! Jon was a great host and provided his hidden gems of Cape Breton which made the stay that much better! The RV was very spacious for two guests and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. A personal favourite was the beautiful deck view out onto the ocean! The RV is in an ideal location, very close to the entrance to the Highlands National Park as well as restaurants and grocery stores. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone travelling to Cape Breton!

I’ve taken countless trips to Cape Breton and it’s hard to find a location that gives you the best combination of Oceanside accommodations and being centrally located in one of the trail’s most significant communities in terms of services/food options/activities. I was at the Seaside Shack and loved it. The bed for more comfortable every moment you spent in it, and coffee in the morning or a drink during sunset on that patio is just wonderful. Highly recommended!
