Red Dog Blue Kat

My old dog with heart failure and kidney failure is doing so well on this food. I do lightly cook it. I was force feeding her the vet prescribed food and she was going down hill fast. Finally I decided to give her something she actually likes to eat. Well her health actually start to improve. She is back to eating on her own, her weight is back to normal, more energy and no more diarrhea. It’s been a year on this food and so far so good. This year she will be 16.

I tried every brand of raw for my dog Ember.She would NOT eat:(Finally I came across this brand at a small boutique dog store in Markham Ontario. Ember LOVES this raw food. We tried all the meats! She has her favourites of course but she eats them all happily!Thank You RDBK for making such awesome dog food!

I’ve was feeding my pup RDBK for about 2 months, which she has loved! No issues whatsoever with her eating it, except I purchased a box from Home Alive and thawed a package over 24 hours like I normally do. The first package she got, something was off but being new to raw I thought I was paranoid. Now when I opened the second package (thawed in fridge overnight) I thought the colour and smell was “off” but hadn’t fed her Beef and Tripe for a while so I thought it was the mix of meats and I was being paranoid. The first feeding from the 2nd package, the meat was still somewhat frozen and there was a slight smell but again, thought it was the mix of meets/organs, tripe etc and I was being paranoid. Now when I went to feed her lunch, I opened the container and instantaneously smelled bad meat. The meat was completely thawed by then and the smell was strong enough to know the meat was bad. I didn’t feed it to her and was scrambling to find her something to eat lunch.One thing I thought of after the fact was the frozen packages looked “frosty” so now I’m thinking the box I bought may have been defrosted and was refrozen and sold. I don’t know where the quality controlled failed but will be returning this box. Unfortunately, now I’m rethinking what to feed my pup.If you think somethings off with the meat (colour/smell) whatever the brand don’t think you are being paranoid, return it right away!

His coat is shiny and soft, his energy is amazing, and best of all his #2's are so small and easy to pick up. My dog is a very picky eater. He's not yet two and I had tried giving him other raw food, Stella and Chewy's, various kibble, and Farmer's Dog with no luck. I ended up cooking for him most days and he was STILL super picky! I'd put salmon or ground beef or lamb down and some days he'd eat it, but often he'd sniff it and walk away and then bark and be grumpy because he was hangry. I was worried he wasn't getting the nutrition he needs and the amount of food I had to throw away was ridiculous. Anyways, cut to Red Dog Blue Kat, not only does he eat it, he eats it enthusiastically as soon as I put it down and then rolls around on his back happily like, Thanks Mom
