Sobeys Collingwood

On my way to a family celebration I bought a prepared veggie tray in the produce section at this Collingwood Sobeys, only to find when I opened it that it was terribly foul smelling! The carrots were slimy and the brocolli & cauliflower were definitely beginning to turn. It was so embarrassing to bring that to my sister's house. I returned it to the store the following morning. There was one cashier working at the Customer Service Desk and another cashier talking with her. As I approached the desk, the cashier who was just standing around doing nothing actually gave me a grumpy look. Neither of them even said so much as Good Morning.The cashier refunded my money and I said, Thank you." She said

Good quality products, plenty of choice. Clean attractive displays.

I have been going to Sobeys for lunch mon-fri for almost 5 years now. The service at the counter has been going down hill in the last 2-3 months. Previously it was a pleasant experience interacting with the servers, however the past week was the last for me. I took position behind a customer in the deli side to place an order. Once finished a second customer who arrived well after was served. I said nothing and continued to wait patiently. Another young man arrived behind me and once the customer ahead of me was finished, he was asked what he wanted. I respectfully spoke up indicating that I was still waiting and was told I would be helped next after him. Finally I was served and also asked for a warm meal. I was told that was someone else's job and that server was introduced who said he would assist me. As I walked around to meet him, a manager beat me to that side by a sec or 2. The young man proceeded to assist her instead of me as he said he would. Another customer arrived as she was being help and the server began to serve him, forgetting me in the queue. This was a 25 min interaction that ultimately left me no option other than to leave empty handed as I was out of time. Unfortunately I feel this to be my last visit. I understand ppl get busy and sometimes overwhelmed, but when working with the public a little customer service goes a long way.

So unprofessional. Cheryl in the meat department so aggressive. There are a few serious problems but that is what head office is for.

Nice place good quality food but not the selection I expected.

Was just in quickly to pick up something. Very nice store.

3 people with full shopping carts with 1 checkout other than the fast lane. I prefer the store to the other options in Collingwood, but the service is deplorable by comparison.

Staff not friendly. Effort in getting directions to a product..Serious CSR lacking.

Bought a bag of cherries today for $10 and they had mold on them. Absolutely disgusting, threw the whole bag out.

Honestly, stopped here to check their ready to eat meals.I understand it's 2pm but yet the selection was just potato wedges.Loblaws up the street offered way more after checking them out.The other thing to catch my eye was both the layout and decorative goods.Honestly, grocery needs should stick solely to grocery...I can't believe there are more options for home decor then ready eat foods.
