If there is a better community newspaper out there, I'd like to see it. The Independent is the heartbeat of St Marys.

Expensive (their sale price is regular price in surrounding cities) and sometimes unreasonably priced. Questionable recall process (put everything that's had negative media attention on sale, instead of pulling from shelves). Clean, great staff.
