Very Good place to meet and greet while you get exercise

Jan6/2021. I use this trail frequently because of the easy access.With a few jogs the trail will take you to Aulds Rd that come out behind Woodgrove Mall. At Aulds Rd before you cross the highway turn turn left and connect up the E & N Trail a short trail, just before the rail crossing on the right. Watch for others using the trail,share the trail. Ride safe and stay healthy.

Awesome trail to board on, good sections of rest(flat) and pretty good spots for speed. Biking it is alot nicer since its easy cruising most of the time if youre headed north and straight cruising if youre headed south in nanaimo

Went on it to get past Nanaimo on my bike (Sep 2019). Signage is lacking at almost every highway crossing you have to take, making it difficult for first time users. Although it is paved I wouldn't recommend it without full suspension since the asphalt all along the trail is coming up, almost like large tree roots across the trail. What makes it a nuisance for commuting is that you (legally) have to dismount at every pedestrian crossing it takes and the area around VIU takes you along the road against the direction of traffic, leading to dangerous situations with left turning cars where you have to cross the roads there.
