If I could give higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would. This store is wonderful and the staff is so bloody friendly and helpful and very resourceful. I had a nice chat with Sonya when I went in looking for a machine that would be good for a beginner like myself and she took the time to talk me through a few options even after she mentioned that they didn’t really have a lot of stock at the moment. Gave me her card and a brochure for the machine I’m interested in and sent me on my way with a smile. When I do purchase a machine, it will DEFINITELY be from these wonderful people.

Brought my sewing machine in for servicing .. was greeted promptly and was helped right away. Did some browsing before I left with my claim check .. snapped up the Sip & Snip mug holder .. and saw a few things I'll pick up when my machine is ready!

I had an excellent experience dealing with Sonya! She took the time over the phone to recommend a machine she felt would serve me better than the one I was contemplating. She did not make me feel stupid being fairly new at sewing, but had the patience to listen to what I wanted from a machine. When I arrived from out of town to pick up my new machine she had it all ready for me. Her staff were knowledgeable and friendly and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!Having had my machine now for a month, Sonya was right. It really is the machine for me and I absolutely love it. No regrets!

Recently bought a Janome SUV1108 from Sonya via email at KW Sewing Machines. The price was great and Sonya was so helpful when I asked her what machine would suit my needs. She was also very prompt which I really appreciated. She also recommended a great thread for me which was so helpful; in my haste to get a machine I completely forgot about thread! Can't wait to go back again in person.

To the response: you can see that even after the back and forth, they still can’t even read a review before applying a response, nor do they clearly know what’s going on. Save the hassle and go to one of the many other local businesses who work with sewing machines.Their repair service is great. The gentleman thoroughly knows what he’s doing. This review comes from the ignorance and belittling personas from several staff members.Review:The staff is arrogant and disrespectful, especially Sonya. I spent $800 in store on a machine and supplies and it was damaged when I bought it. From the very 1st stitch, it damaged my product. I used the needle that came in the machine for this stitch. They say it’s my fault for using the wrong tools, yet I used what comes with the machine. Wouldn’t the machine comes with the appropriate tools? They constantly are fighting this matter instead of accepting themachine was flawed.We voiced this concern many times and told them I was trying to troubleshoot on my own before bringing it in, as I simply was too busy with my business to take another trip in to the store.Upon taking the machine in, they repaired it, but they still wouldn’t return/refund, even though the machine came damaged. It was damaged from literally the first stitch, and they still blame me for the issues. Again, arrogant and disrespectful. The receipt reads “all returns must be made with this bill”, and the lady told us that isn’t their policy; but it’s on their receipt? This doesn’t add up, and is simply malpractice. I’m so disgusted with the attitude of the associates, especially when paying so much money for their products. Spend your money elsewhere. It will be far more worth it.

The staff at this store are lovely. I brought in my sewing machine yesterday. So frustrated I couldn’t get the foot back in place. They looked at it right away. Adjusted the foot. Put it back together. “No problem. There you go”. They were so helpful. I was very appreciative.

Fabulous shop! I recently had my serger repaired and a tune-up. It runs like brand new. The staff was wonderful, friendly and professional. With my local shop now closed, I will be bringing my machines here.

Went here to get my sewing machine fixed. I had to pay a $40 deposit upfront. They told me it would take a few weeks to fix it. So after the few weeks were up, they called and said they couldn’t find the part that was needed to be replaced to fix the machine. Right away, they started trying to get me to buy a new one from their store, because apparently this replacement piece “was no longer made” so I would need to buy a new machine. I followed my gut and decided to take my machine to another store and see what they would say. This other place took 1 week to fix my machine and miraculously, that piece that was “no longer made” still exists. My machine works even better than it did before! The worst part of all though? This store never gave me back my $40 deposit. They said I could use that deposit to buy a new machine. I didn’t need to buy a new machine after all, but even if I did, it would definitely not be from this place. I actually had never had any issues with this store, but this was a very negative experience.

Took 2 sewing machines for cleaning in mid-Sept and one had a minor repair. Waited 3 weeks for machines and the one I use most has had problems with improper repairs including missing parts, parts reassembled incorrectly and while they are prepared to fix the issues, it means traveling across the city to get the work done. Not the type of service I was accustomed to receiving from #1 Sewing Centre in Campbellford.

Originally bought my sewing machine from K-W Sewing. The staff was knowledgeable & very helpful. Any time I've been into the shop, staff has been pleasant & wonderful to work with. Recently, I lost the parts box for my machine & they have very graciously put things back together for me. Most helpful, most cheerful & an absolute delight to work" with."
