Chinook Hot Tubs & Saunas

Quite disappointing service at this store. I had called them very seriously looking for a hot tub and was given enough information to get me in. While taking a look at their products I questioned how long the lead time was and if they would be willing to sell the floor model. Was quite eager to buy one asap. Was told that I would be called the next day. Still waiting. So moved on to other stores and got similar experiences throughout ottawa. No one seems to care about service here. Dont waste your time looking in ottawa, go to perth. Cobra pools and spas. Received excellent service throughout dealing with them. Ended up buying the floor model to have it at home asap. Take a lesson from this chinook and deal with your customers with respect.

I tried for weeks to communicate with Blake about getting some repairs done to my sauna heater both over the phone and over email. Next to no replies for over a month now. When I do get a reply it is a vague question to which I do my best to provide an answer which again will go unresolved or unanswered. I have left voicemails and emails and while they claim to be open, they don't seem to want to communicate.I am trying to support a local business but they don't seem to want to help us out. I have finally given up on waiting for a response. I will look elsewhere. I would prefer they just tell me they can't help over being ignored.EDIT:I 100% sent all the info they asked for (multiple times). Especially the info that was in their reply. Still ignored. I even left it on voicemails.

Very knowledgeable on hot tubs. Only sold me the parts I actually needed and explained in detail how I could fix my problem. Thank you.

In the fall of 1999 we decided to add a hot tub to our home...indoors. After checking many places, we decided on Chinook Sauna & Spas . Installation went really well and we were very pleased with both the pricing and service. Over the past 12 years when we have run into problems, our phone calls for help have been answered quickly and politely. Whenever repairs were needed, Robert was there as promised and got our tub back in working order very quickly...Over the 13 years we have enjoyed our experience with Chinook greatly and highly recommend them for their knowledge, sales and after sales service...a big plus in today’s age for sure....lynn & eric.

It was a disappointing experience. I had intended on going to this store because they carry the SunriseSpas, a canadian hot tub.I called and inquired about a hot tub. It was nearing the end of the day and we couldn't make the 50 min drive in time. The sales guy said not to worry, it wouldn't be sold by the next day when we went in to see it. I offered to make a deposit to reserve the hot tub, just in case. Again, he confirmed it won't be sold by then." so I trusted the sales person.The following day

Wow! Thia guy knows his stuff. Ive called him as a second advice for having already dealt with another tech for 4 service calls and chinook took time to troubleshoot over the phone with me and pointed out to some wiring issue. I will try tk diagnose the culprit myself with his advice. I might call him to come over but he was honest enough to tell me he might not be able tk fix my intermittent problem. Its complex one.

I bought my hot tub at a different place. The sales man said everything he could to make the sale. Then after getting the tub. It wasn't what they said and wasn't what we wanted. Then the service went straight down hill. Even though we didn't buy out tub at Chinook. The service has been impeccable. They know what they are talking about and give it to you straight. Awesome place.

I bought my hot tub from Chinook in 1999. Naturally, I had to replace stuff over the years, and Chinook (especially Robert) was always there for me. But my tub ran 24 hrs a day, all year-long. I knew my luck would not last, and in Dec 2021 my motherboard died. The tub was too old to get a new one, so Chinook (Robert) drained the tub, and we decided to wait until Spring 2022 to see what might be done. Well, Robert eventually found a used motherboard this May 2022, that would be compatible with my tub. So just a week ago Chinook (Blake) installed the compatible motherboard, and my tub was resurrected; and is up and running again. Exceptional service. Thank you, Chinook.

Friendly and extremely helpful. The wife of the owner didn't just answer my questions she offered to explain everything to me (a new spa owner not even their brand) on how to balance water chemistry and maintain my spa. Almost every other place I visited I felt like I was bothering them with my questions. My levels are now perfect! Thank you. You are now my go to place for water testing and buying chemicals.

I purchased a sauna from Chinook a few months ago. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend Chinook to anyone else in the Ottawa-Gatineau area who is looking for a home sauna (I can't speak to the quality of their hot tubs or their hot tub service).Overall, I'd say Chinook's saunas are of high quality, and the service they offer is quite good. This is a family business and everyone there is kind and tries to ensure that their customers are satisfied. There were a few minor pre and post-sale hiccups with this purchase (all of which were dealt with to my satisfaction by Chinook) and don't affect how happy I am now about the purchase. I would chose Chinook again and highly recommend them.
